Expedition Everest?

I will be visiting WDW in March and I have a few questions about EE that I hope someone could help me out

1) For those of you who have been on EE and are CM's how do you get on the ride? How do they know you are a VCM? Do you have to give the ticket people something before you get on?

2) Is this EE preview only for a limited time?

The preview was only from Jan 26 to Jan 29. I hope they extend, or have soft opening etc. I'm going Feb 26 to March 3.
