Im going to WDW next month and I havent been on Expedtion Everest yet and Im so curious as to what it's like? I wanna know from anyone whos been on it what the ride is like. I know about the whole story with the yedi but I was curious as to what kind of coaster it is. Does it go upside down...is it a smooth ride (unlike Space MT which I think kind of jerks you around)...about how fast does it go...which ride in the parks is it most like? Any input is appreciated! :)

I thought it was pretty fast and smooth. It doesn't go upside down, but it does go backwards for a minute. We didn't like it as much as the other Disney coasters. It does have the best fastpass line ever, but I thought it was a little dissapointing, especially the yeti that you only see for two seconds.

Thank you :thumbsup2 for the links - now I'm excited  to get there in Dec!

I would say it was a rock and roll rollercoaster type of feel- the going backwards in the dark makes you feel like you are going upside down even though you are not. I thought that was intense and there is one pretty steep drop that was fun. I really liked it. I thought the themeing was excellent! Don't miss all the little touches they are really cool to see. We rode it twice (my ds rode it 4 times in one day he LOVED it!) It is really a fun addition to the AK day. (It was described to me as Big thunder on steroids- but I think that sells it short... it was better than that) And that Yeti was way cool!

e e is awsome, the front seat is a smooth ,awsome view ride.when you come to the broken tracks the view of epcot is real cool you can also see mgm, then you go backwards, and that feels like an inversion, when you come to a stop and see the yetti ,look out at the track you will see the track turn over and then you will project out of the mountian.the best ride is in the last car ,seat#17 you will pull more G,s this past jan/feb I rode EE 93 times and it is the smoothest ride in disney.thunder mt. RR felt like a kidde ride after EE,you have to try both front and last seats to get the full effects of EE,when you get to the front of the line and you are asked how many in your party tell the CM you want the front seat and he will Q YOU TO THE FRONT SEAT LINE,then do the same for the last seat.EE also has a single rider line like test track, HAVE FUN !!!!!!!!!!!

As the poster said, the front seat has a wonderful view of MGM and EPCOT but if you turn your head and look behind you, you are also suppose to be able to see Cinderella's Castle. It is the tallest ride in WDW history at 200' but you only have an 80' drop. It starts off somewhat slow. But when the ride speeds up (which is when you go backwards for the first time), it is awesome. You will change tracks and directions a couple of times which gives the coaster a very unique feel. I think you will really enjoy it!
