Where is the, "I CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE THAT THING!!!!!" option? :)

That would be the one we would choose :thumbsup2 We convinced my son to start taking vitamins this year by telling him that if he did he would be big enough to ride the "Yeti Rollercoaster" BTW, he was already tall enough we just needed a motivating factor :rolleyes1

We are doing AK first this year just so we can experience EE

Now my cousin and her family went last week, they said that everest stunk. I just want to know everyone's opinion of the new ride.

I usually don't make blanket judgements like this, but I gotta say that your cousin and her family are WRONG!!!

EE is our #1 favorite ride..

Uh-Oh!!

My DS4 has been begging to ride this and my DH has said, "No WAY, It's not going to happen...we are going to be responsible parents and not let him go - he's too young." We are the same "responsible parents" that let him ride ToT last year when he was 3!!

He was just telling my mom that's he's excited to ride "Yeti Mountain" :rotfl: tomorrow!!

I can't wait to see if DS or DH wins this battle. For the record, my money's on the kid. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Here's the thing. My aunt and uncle went to Disney a few weeks ago, my uncle did everest twice and LOVED it. Now my cousin and her family went last week, they said that everest stunk. I just want to know everyone's opinion of the new ride. Our trip is coming up soon and I wanted to know if it would be worth arranging our schedule.
Did they say why it stunk? Was the line too long? Not enough big drops and flips? What made it stink? I haven't heard many people say EE stunk. Just curious to know what the cousin said. :confused3

I am one of those people that will enjoy almost anything without a wait. I rode it with FP last week (got FP @ noon for 5:10) and thought it was great - lots and lots of G-forces. I can admit that if I waited in line for 1-2hr like a lot of people did, I probably would have thought it stunk. It is a great ride, but no great ride of any sort is worth a long wait.

GET A FP! Loved it :thumbsup2 It was the only ride I ever went on that everyone clapped, and cheered at the end.

Well worth your time and FP We loved it rode it Feb with DB's DW and kids are Jealous have to wait till Aug 07. :thumbsup2

EE is so awesome!!!

Maybe your cousins didn't like it because it wasn't thrilling enough. Disney is geared more to families so the rides are tamer (which is a good thing, because the older I'm getting the more I appreciate Disney's philosophy ):lmao:

Have a great trip!!!

This 40-something lady LOVED LOVED LOVED EE! Only got to ride it once on our Feb. 06 trip.....maybe next time I ride it, I'll even keep my eyes open! ;)

I'm not a big fan of huge scary roller coasters anymore (I used to love them - I don't know what happened?) and won't go on R&RC but I'm wondering if EE is like BTMRR and/or the Mummy ride at Universal? I love Space Mt and BTMRR and loved the Mummy ride, too.

Usually what "gets" me first is hearing the car cranking up the huge hill. I haven't been on Splash Mt. in years...but I think the reason there is because I don't like feeling like I'm gonna catapult face first from the car!

OK, I didn't have a problem with ToT. I'm not a roller coaster person anymore. Am I going to have a problem with this?

Please tell me no, because I really want to ride it.

My family and I rode Everest twice during our July trip. We loved it! Here's a fun tip - if you are a family of four, try to sit in the very last two seats. When your picture is taken on the ride it will be just the four of you and you get the little cog engine in the picture with you!

Since i am not really keen on roller coasters i let DS post this.

When i actually do ride this ride, i am sure that i will absolutley love it!!!!! It looks totally AWESOME!!!!!

No problems at all, it's like a larger faster version of big thunder mountain, it does go backwards for a short distance. All in all very tame and managable for all ages, yet just enough fun to keep you coming back.

PS, don't be intimidated by the long steep climb, the drop does not match.

For Disney, it is a really good rollercoaster. For any other amusement park, it is very tame.

It is interesting, but the pauses are...I don't know the word. Rollercoasters - thrill rides - aren't supposed to have breaks. It is like the ride pauses to go out for a smoke, then comes back.

I really like it - and think it is a great addition to AK - but I don't absolutely love it. I wish that Disney would make up its mind. If they are going to have a thrill ride, make it thrilling! If not, then just make a ride.

...that's just me.

I couldn't agree more. The first time I rode it I was bored by all the pauses. The second and third rides were more fun (especially being in the front seat) but to a certain degree I would rather ride Big Thunder over EE

Ok, we just got back. Our first day, my dd 9 and I rode it three times. (No fast passes, we got there too late.) Towards the end of our trip, we rode it 8 (yes, that's eight!) times. Three with FPs, once on standby and 5 times on the single line. Then on our last day, we rode it 4 times. By 2pm, then went to MK.

Yes, it's that good. Think BTMRR on steroids.

Just could not ride it enough. The first day at AK me and my DD rode it 4 times and the second day we rode it 3 times in the front car. What a great ride.
