Just found this on a website... I thought it would help make up some peoples minds on if they were going to ride it...

Grand opening: April 7, 2006

Mountain height: 199 feet
Ride height: 120 feet
Track length: 5,437 feet
Largest drop: 112 feet :scared1:
Inversions: 0
Maximum speed: 50 mph :scared1:
Height restriction: 44 inches
Capacity: Each train carries 34 passengers in 17 two-person rows
Restraint: Lap bar
Ride system: Roller coaster

Compared to other rides at WDW...

BTMRR Top Speed= 36mph
Space Moutain Top Speed= 28.7 MPH

I dont know about you guys, but :scared: ............I CANT WAIT! :teeth:

Ok... I'm rethinking this now :scared1:

Anyone know the top speed on Rockin roller coaster? I can't handle that one, so now I'm wondering about Everest.....

There has been debate about whether the largest drop is 80 ft. or 112 ft. Since I was curious as to this myself, I called Disney and they assured me the drop was 80 ft, not 112 ft like many websites are posting.

For those of you who felt that extra 32 ft. was enough to change your minds, rest assured and ride away :)

I actually believe Rockin Roller Coaster is 60 mph. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. That's what I remember a cast member saying when the people in front of me asked him one time.

112 Feet Drop, bring it! :hyper:

I am used to the Millinium Force at Cedar Point

Vertical Drop: 300 feet
Angle of Descent: 80 degrees

However, I am SO EXCITED about going on this ride in May!

Oh my god I'm so excited I glad it will be up and running for our August trip.

Briver you need to go back to Cedar Point and ride Top Thrill Dragster.

Drop 400ft.
Angle of decent: 90 degrees.
Top speed 120 MPH. (now that's fast)

That being said, I still the millenium force is the better coaster.

Everest looks like it's going to be a great coaster. The coaster part looks wilder than the mummy. I hold out judgement on the themeing until I can ride it.

If you are talking about the Mummy ride in Universal then everything is better than that ride. I rode it with high expectations and was sooooooooooo dissapointed with it. Mummy was horrible. I've seen 2 videos of Everest and looks awsome.

Now thats interesting. That castmember lied!! :gasp: I always thought it was 0-60. Just out of curiosity, where did you find this information?

Hmmm I believe it was in a Disney pamphlet? I dont remember... But it is also on this site...WDW Magic, try searching rockin roller coaster at WDW Magic since it wont let me post urls. in short, it says this:

Everytime I get the nerve to go I watch a few runs and watch the car not make it to the top and fall backwards...While that would be a rush, I just don't trust it that much. Plus its hardly running consistantly anyways. I'll stick to the other RollerCoasters :)

At least that is what my Happiest Celebration on Earth planning brochure is saying about it. :confused3
