Expedition Everest Ride Information

When I watched the video last night it didn't seem that the drops were that high. It appears the slope is much more gradual to me. It doesn't look like a very steep drop like the drop on Millennium Force, which is after all my FAVORITE coaster. (Didn't get to try Top Thrill Dragster because of lines, but you can bet if I get there again it will be my first stop!)

I watched the video and I cant wait till I can ride it. I also let DH he must ride it for both of us since I cant go on this year. But watching the video will hold me over till I can. It looks really cool.

If you are talking about the Mummy ride in Universal then everything is better than that ride. I rode it with high expectations and was sooooooooooo dissapointed with it. Mummy was horrible. I've seen 2 videos of Everest and looks awsome.

You thought the Mummy was HORRIBLE! Wow your expectations were pretty high. I thought it was great! Way to short, but a good solid ride. As for Everest, from the videos it too looks like it will be a fun ride. I can't wait until May!

I agree...Someone must have had a serious case of anticappointment.

According to rcdb.com (a well respected database of rollercoasters), the largest drop on EE will be 80 feet...but they do report that the actual coaster is 112 feet tall.

That same website shows that RNR goes from 0-57 mph in 2.8 seconds. I would be willing to bet that it was designed so that it could launch to 60 mph, but they run it at the slightly slower speed so that it is a little less intense. That could be where the discrepancies come in.

None of those numbers even come close to Kingda Ka though ;)

I watched both the videos that have been released for EE and im curious when the drop is? 112 feet seems like it would be fairly obvious on a video but perhaps the video doesn't show all of the ride? Or am i wrong in assuming the drop is a straight 112 feet down?
