ok, now from a participants point of veiw after the fact...got to tell you that was a tremendous amount of planning and work in and out oof vmk. I am sure most of us gave up a lot of game playing and credit earning, as well as family time and work time to do this and most of all that was a lot of sitting on our seat. The poll doesn't really give me or many others the properchoise of what to chose so I have to call it lame. For all the fun and enjoyment working with my team, it was great and the creativity was good, but we gave up a lot. If you were to have won doing all that work, I would have to think it was very dissapointing of a prize. The work that went into this was worth inferno, heck maybe even green flips. We put at least (and this is value because technicaly the ice was free) 1,000,000 credits worth of stuff into our ride, and as a team each (most of us) gave up the opportunity to earn about 10 - 20K a day while working on the ride (not to mention lost much position in the hall). I have heard someone else from another team say any idea how many bat magics that is? This was worth more than a New Room, a chair, and a pin. Furthur VMK failed to really outline what merritsthis would be judged on. Was it impossible to early on in the weekend after 1 staff rides determmine that your not in the running you can close up. Sure we would be a little put off, but in hindsight are seat would not be as soar and maybe the weekend could have been more productive. They could have at least narrowed it down, if the ride is no good why leave it open and waist everyones time. I think as we surveyed team members before the results 95% seriously doubted they would ever do another project of this magnatude, 50 % doubted they would ever have any credit to do it anyways, and 1% said they had forewarned us that these events are like this including a history of barely stepping in to the room let alone speaking to them. Now that results are in 100% agreed we should have know better than to have high expectations and, that the prize stunk, that they had no plans to do another competition, and that we could think of some unique track placement ideas now but they may have trouble getting them back. Also we all agreed that if we ever got the pin they are promising vmk could stick the pin with the track we had placed so well.
