I overheard a little girl make this comment to her Dad as we were getting in line for EE.

"Daddy, this time I'm going to keep my eyes open!"

Just thought it was worth sharing! :)

I rode EE for the first time three weeks ago! I have been to AK several times but never had the nerve to ride it. So as we were boarding I said to my DH, "Maybe it won't be so bad if I keep my eyes open and SEE what's going on." I LOVED it!!! It is now one of my faves in all of the 4 parks!

My now 9 year old DGD went on EE for the first time when she was about 6 1/2. She went with her parents on this trip, and we were not able to go with them. She called me on the phone because I told her it was my favorite ride, and she should try it, and she promised she would, but "just once". :thumbsup2. So the phone conversation went something like this.

DGD: Well I did it! (in between tears)
ME: OK...
DGD: Well, I almost died
ME: OK.. Why? Did you feel like you were falling out?
DGD: Nope...when the train went backwards and it was so fast, "I stopped breathing and almost died" :rotfl: I don't know why you like that ride, It almost killed me. :lmao:

We still laugh about that conversation. By the way...we took her with us on our latest trip in May, and she went on this ride 4 times in a row. It is now her favorite.

Dear Grandma....that was the best thing I have read in ages. I read it five minutes ago and I still can't stop laughing. It toally cracks me up. I am crying from laughing so hard. I love the things kids say. Thanks for sharing.:rotfl:

My favorite quote from this ride was a family in front of us. The younger son asked "who is Eddie?"

Meaning the Yeti.

Sure that wasn't a couple of weeks ago? My seven YO DD said those exact words to me... the last THREE times we rode it. :rotfl2:

I've ridden EE multiple times per visit every October since it opened with the same person. I've heard the "this time I'm going to keep my eyes open!" part of this quote every single time just before our train pulls out...from my 47-year old DH!:rotfl2: Seriously--every time. Hasn't happened yet. We were watching one of those Travel Channel specials a few months ago and he exclaimed, "Hey, why don't they ever have that Yeti on the ride when we're there?!" He's never seen a second of ToT or RnR either.:rotfl:
