Expedition Everest question

How is this ride? Is there alot of big drops? What about when you go backwards....just wondering how intense it is....Thanks!!

I didn't think it was bad at all. The backwards part did concern me a bit before my wife and I rode it in January (AP preview), but it was cake. There are no really big drops in the backward section, just quick turns and small drops designed to take your breath away.

When you start forward again, there is one large drop at the end of the ride, but it REALLY didn't seem nearly as bad as the specs describe it to be.

And your attention will be on the Yeti anyway. That is one cool animatronic.

Thanks.....I am a chicken and just want to know what is going to happen before hand.....my DH just saw me posting and said OH NO YOU ARE NOT ASKING ABOUT THE RIDE ARE YOU??? ha ha ha!

It is awesome! It is soo smooth that it's a joy to ride and the seats are ultra comfortable. What's neat about the backwards part is that they hold you at the top of a small hill (which looks like the top of the mountain) then while they hold you up there the track flips behind you (you can't see it being done But I turned around and actually saw the track flip over) and as you go backwards you realize that this is not how you came up the mountain so you don't know where you are going. MY stomach does flip flops, but again super smooth and not really fast. And IMO no real dark spots.

Not to worry. If the coaster didn't bother this senior citizen, it shouldn't bother you either. It is smooth and quite enjoyable. One of the better coasters I've experienced. I can't imagine traveling to WDW's Animal Kingdom without a trip on this attraction.
