Expedition Everest is a go!

It's good news all round today.

To celebrate the 5th bitrthday of the Animal Kingdom, they have announced a major new attraction.

Expedition Everest is rumoured to be costing $100 million and is said to be a 'family' coaster which has you rescuing a yeti!

Mmm I'm thinking it could be like a wooshier version of Matterhorn Bobsleds in Disneyland, although that was pretty wooshy

Screamscape are saying that this is a $100 million ride, so it had better be something special! Certainly I'd hope for a lot more whosshes than the Matterhorn. It will be the tallest of the Disney 'mountains' (at 200 feet - the same as Dr Doom's Fearfall in IoA - it will reach the height limit for attractions in Orlando). The Disney artwork doesn't look like a family ride to me...

The ride is due to open in 2006.
