This week I was able to schedule FP's for Christmas week. I was hoping for a FP for EE on 12/31 at 6PM, but the latest available FP is 5PM. Looking back to availability for EE from 12/25 through 12/31, it looks like the last FP on any day is 5PM. (Other attractions such as the Safari and Dinosaur have FP availability through park close). Since the AK closes at 8PM all week, should I expect more time slots to be added at a later time?

They haven't been adjusting the schedule to be final until mid the month before most of the year.. 5pm was the default AK never opened past 6pm last fastpass time slot. when they finalize it next month (around the 15th) then you'll see the real hours and fastpasses shoudl open up later.

get somethign that kind of works now and start watching the schedule around the 15th of November to make adjustments and get a new time slot.

we have FP+ for EE on 11/14 at 5PM made at 60 days. AK now closes at 7PM but ever since the ours changed a few weeks ago I have been unable to change it to a later time. The kids want to ride EE after dark so I guess we will be showing up at the later end of the FP+ window.
just looked again now and 5PM is later than the FP+ options I could change it to.

Off topic, but we will be booking our FP's for 12/22-12/25 this weekend when our 60 day slot opens. I was just curious if FP's were already pretty filled up for Christmas week and what to expect come this weekend. I would love to be able to plan around the full FP's so that we get the next best options.

I was just thinking the same thing. I don't arrive until December 26. My kids are older (22 and 18) so not looking for FEA or 7DMT but
I do want Everest and some Mountains in MK. I was also thinking of scheduling my FPs for when we return to Epcot (closes at 12:30 am) and
MK (closes at 2:30 am) in the evenings. Reading what the OP posted, has me even more worried. My family thinks I'm crazy and obsessing
but they have no clue since everything is planned perfectly they just always thinks it happens by pixie dust LOL

I can tell you how it was for me and how it is right now. At 60 days out the most popular rides had limited availability but it opened up each day until about 69 days out when nearly everything was available for morning FP's.

Looking right now at December 18th (60 days out from tomorrow): If you could book your FP at 7am tomorrow (and assuming that not many people book tonight) Frozen is available in the evening, Soaring and Test Track have availability between 9-10, 7D is available at 4:30, TSM at 12:35, most other attractions have morning availability.

December 19th (61 days from tomorrow): Frozen at 5:00, 7D at 1:50, TSM at 10:00, everything else I checked has morning availability.

December 20th: Frozen at 5:00, 7D at 1:00, TSM at 9:40.

At 65 days out 7D is available before 10am and Frozen at 12:30. At about 69 days out it looks like almost all FP time slots are available.

As we get closer to 60 days out from Christmas I would think availability would be a bit more limited. My window opened about a week ago and I just booked the last FP's of my trip today (for 12/31).

Looking at 61 days out from today, it looks like EE, BTMR and Space Mountain have FP availability throughout the day. December 26th right now is wide open (I have Space Mountain and BTM scheduled for that morning). DarlingDonald's window opens 60 days from Dec 22, but yours opens 60 days from the 26th and as we progress through Christmas week I would assume that availability will be more limited. I do think you will get FP's for EE and the Mountains, but it might not be at the times you want.

Thank you, good advice. I've booked my FP's based on the current schedule but expecting changes. For instance, I am doing EMH at the MK on two mornings where the current early opening time is at 8am, but I know it will likely be changed to 7am. Also, I am hoping for Rivers of Light to open and be available with a FP and will adjust my AK FP's for it.
