does anyone know about how many feet the biggest drop is on expedition everest? also the drop in the mummy ride at universal?
i know i can handle the mummy so im thinking maybeee i could be okay on ee, but i really hate drops lol so i feel better at least knowing how big of a drop it is so i can be prepared lol :goodvibes

I'd like to know too! Is the drop bigger or smaller than Splash Mtn?

Now I may not be correct, but I feel that the drop was not as big as the one on Splash Mountain. It wasn't that bad at all.

When EE first opened they had all the stats I think the drop was somewhere around 88 feet (?). I can tell you that its not as bad as it seems. The drop curves , so its not straight down. You are also coming out of the mountain, so by the time you realize that you are on the drop you are already half way down. Its not the kind of drop where you loose your stomach(imo). Try it once and have fun, its a great ride!!!! :thumbsup2

oh dear..80 feet :sad2: i hope its not too bad. i refused to go on the jurassic park ride at universal because of the 80 foot drop and my friends all got furious with me so i guess ill have to just deal with ee! do you know how many ft the mummy drop is? i didnt even feel a drop on that really and since i had my eyes closed a good portion of the time ;) i wouldnt know lol. but my friends all said there were definite drops on that ride so im assuming if i was okay with that i can probably live through ee :sunny:

I'm curious too about how it compares to the Mummy. I really had fun on the Mummy but I don't know if I could handle anything much wilder than that. How did the Mummy and RnR compare to EE? Trying to gauge my courage level!

I am curious too. We need a fear meter for some of these rides!! How about ToT? I would love to be brave enough to try this ride. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I went on EE even though I am not a roller coaster person. I am deathly afraid of going upside down on anything and I am also extremely motion sick. Well I found out that EE does not go upside down and that in some people's minds it was Rockin Roller coaster meets Big Thunder Mountain. So I thought I would be brave and did it during the passholder preview back in January. I was completely petrified of what was about to come once I got on the ride. In all actuality I don't remember much of it as I was screaming with my eyes closed the entire time! LOL! The drop wasn't bad, it was more nerve wracking to go forward and backward. I completely lost my equilibrium and by the time I stepped off the ride, I was so dizzy that I had to grab onto the wall as I walked into the gift shop. Then about 1 minute later my motion sickness kicked in and I felt ill for about a 1/2 hour.

I am glad that I got to experience it, but it is nothing like BTMRR, which is waaay more tame. I will never go on that ride again unless someone pays me. I'll stick to Soarin' and Test Track for my Thrill rides ;)

Wow, I'm a huge coaster nut and I checked every site I know with stats, and I can't find the longest drop length for Mummy ANYWHERE. However, i did find that its top speed is 40 mph and the steepest inclination is 50 degrees, so it's not a terribly steep coaster.

80 feet. thats a long way down but i'm going to be forced to try it once

I was terrified on EE but - the drop really isn't so bad! As someone mentioned it curves around and back up so I don't think it's as scary as just a straight down drop would be.

The drop is more steep at the start than the one at Splash Mt., but since it rapidly curves to the left as it drops, it doesn't 'maintain' that awful dropping sensation. I got used to it very quickly. Love EE and I generally hate rollarcoasters.

Well the drop may or may not seem to big the backwards drop is rather intesnse. But it is the not the drop you are to be woried about as much as whether or not you will freak out at the steep backwards incline in pitch darkness. The forward drop though is intense in the fun manner but not really scary.

I'm getting excited about going on EE in September. I hope i enjoy it otherwise it will be a real let down. When we are getting on EE I know i will be so nervous but pretend I'm really excited lol. I'm interested to see what it feels like when going backwards up hill. When i first heard about EE i presumed it would go backwards downhill. I still refuse to go on RnR, TOT and MS.
