Yah know...everyone completely built up this ride to be the best thing that WDW has ever seen. I thought it was fun, but nothing much better than a regular roller coaster (except for the giant Yeti, that was pretty awesome). Going backwards in the dark made me dizzy, there was NO pre-show! (GASP! I was seriously DISappointed by this - hahaha Billy, this DIS thing is addicting!), and the shadow Yeti on the wall was so hokey that it totally went down for me. As far as a thrill ride, I mean, it was awesome. Fast-paced, smooth, and long. These things above I mentioned didn't stop me from riding it 4 times :rotfl: .

Any thoughts...agree or disagree?

Yeah, the shadow of the yeti is fake looking, but still awesome!! But the "real" thing is soo awesome!! I love this ride. I think it is one of the better roller coasters at WDW. I love the big drop too! So amazing! I'm kind of glad they don't have an official pre-show. Those get annoying. Once you've seen the pre-show once, and you go on again, you just wanna get on the ride, not sit through the show. And I'd kinda consider the queue line to be a pre-show. It's so detailed and gives you a good idea of whats going on.

havent been on it yet, but i will be going on it in october.. i agree with how people are making it seem like the best thing there....but it does look pretty awesome. Idk ill be able to have a opinion when i go on it

Same here..except December for me. :)

again same here except December...

the yeti is very real looking after seeing it on the travel channel in the UK (wasn't expecting it to be shown...) and also the line looks amazing too :)

I agree with the line being the preshow. To bad my family hates waiting in standby. WE just get fastpass. We were once the very first ride of the day, and it was my first time on it. I am not much of a roller coaster fan except for California Screamin and Rockin, and of course the mountains in MK. I enjoyed the ride and it now one of my favorites up there along Test Track and Mission Space.

I love preshows! I was wondering, how is the "atmosphere" in the waiting area? (along the lines of, what does it look like?) Thanks! :thumbsup2

It basically looks a LOT like Kali River Rapids with you walking through little buildings filled with glass cases of Yeti-research stuff and a few like Expedition stands and "supplies" etc...

Oh, okay! Thanks so much Ash! It sounds really cool (I can't wait to visit it!) :)
