I am so upset! I had this 4 day trip planned out for my daughter's birthday 3/20-3/24 and went to book on expedia and they tell me they can't book through their reservation system(or something). They showed a book it rate for all stars and contemporary which we were going to do and now I have nothing. Disney CRO's have been rude the times I have called. The best I can do is 330 at the Contemporary instead of what I thought was going to be 299 with expedia. Disney tells me their is no all star hotels with avail. I was trying to give my daughter a nice treat staying at the contemporary but now I am stuck. Any advice????suggestions???encouragement???

I'm surprised Contemp is not all booked at any rate. It's getting pretty late in the game to get a good rate during prime spring break season, esp for the AllStars which fill up first, it seems. Do you have DC or AAA or AMEX? Perhaps one of those will help. If you can book the CR for 330, I'd go ahead and do it before that too is gone. In the grand scheme of things, 330 is not that much worse than 299.

Not that it helps but what Expedia shows is not always what is really available. I ran into similar problems one year when I was trying to get some Christmas reservations. It would appear but when you actually try to book it wouldn't "take".

If you really want to do this trip, I'd book something. Travel is bouncing back and you are looking for one of the prime WDW weeks. Good luck -- hope you have a great trip.

I was trying to book for the same time. But When I tried to get a room at one of the mods or deluxes I was told by CRO that they had nothing.

My brother booked through Expedia for our trip & ended up in an overbooked Grand Floridian. He got moved to the Contemporary and given a free night -- but seems Expedia has problems.

Give Dreams Unlimited a try.... After using them once I'll never go back to CRO.... Can't hurt to try.

Thanks for the advice. I had contacted Dreams and hadn't heard back from them. I did tonight and they have been very helpful. I think I am done dealing with expedia and CRO's too!
I can't wait for our 4 day trip to WDW. It is a birthday present she will never forget.

Hi Kimba, hope your trips goes well. That is one brithday your daughter will never forget. My birthday is March 20 and my daughers is March 29 2001. It is a great place to spend a brithday.

With as busy as it is at WDW, you'd think they'd reopen the rest of Riverside and Port Orleans!

Anywho - hope you have a great time at WDW - despite CRO and Expedia! Here are some great birthday ideas:

At least get your daughter the Birthday Button from the Magic Kingdom - Cast Members and Characters do notice it and she'll get that extra special attention! Also be sure to mention it at check-in and at any restuarants you go to!

Of course, all this attention will spoil her and you won't be able to go back to WDW! LOL!:D

I'm going to WDW shortly before you - what your post tells me is that it's going to be BUSY! Be sure to plan for that!

Not really clear what happened here but remember Expedia only has the information provided to them by the hotels, and are subject to the limitations imposed on them by their deals with the hotels. Doesn't seem like Expedia did anything wrong here.

I know I was probably confusing trying to explain what happened but I was pretty emotional at the time. Just to clarify...

Expedia shows they have a rate at a certain hotel and when you try and book it ..it gives you an error or says the hotel is sold out. I just wish they wouldn't show it if they can't sell it. It is confusing since some other hotels will actually show no rooms avail for the dates you request so you assume that the ones that show rates have rooms to reserve.

All is well anyway. I have CBR 2 nights and contemporary 2 nights. Thanks for all the input!
