I have not been on here since we came back from Florida last November. I get the holiday blues and I get very depressed when I have nothing to look forward to but there is no need now as we have booked again! I am very excited; we have just booked for the summer holidays. Only one week this time; this is our third holiday abroad in 6 months and my husband is not very happy when he looks at his bank balance!
I just wanted to post to let you all know that Expedia are doing excellent deals on the summer holidays. I have never been at this time of the year before (hurricane season)
We are going from Manchester to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic for 7 nights, including car hire, staying at Disney’s Pop Century, two adults and two children for.... £1,805!
Hurray!

Friday 3rd - 10th August. Cant wait, my little boys think they are going to Tenby in a caravan for a week!

Wow that is a great rate as flying from Gatwick more than doubles the price!

Claire ;)

Just checked flight only with Expedia and this is the result I got -

Summary
4 Tickets / Return
MAN Manchester to
MCO Orlando

Leave: Fri 3-Aug
Return: Fri 10-Aug

2 adults £1,420.00
2 children £1,078.00
Taxes & Fees £612.80

Total £3,110.80

So that is a real good sale you got there :)

Claire ;)

I am still not convinced its a sale, as I posted in another thread It is possibly a pricing error, the discounts are too great for August just look at the flight only price. But no worries its their problem not yours.:thumbsup2

I know, it does not make sense but it has been paid in full and we have had confirmation, it was only £2,317 for 14 nights. Definately a bargain, we paid nearly £5,000 in November to stay at POR for 14 nights.

It is quite common for travel websites to have mistakes. In the last couple of years I have had suite at £22/night incl breakfast for 3 of us when every other site was £80-£100. I have had flights for under £300 each in august when every other site was £700-£800, and another hotel room that only charged me for half the nights.
I know I spend 1-2 hours a day looking for deals and I read forums which post website mistakes but if I can find so many how many are there I dont see?

We booked this week for flights with Virgin & a car for 4 of us. 2 weeks in August

Worked out at £444 each.

I think we got a bargain.
