I was just pricing a FairyTale package and Expedia's prices are anywhere from $30-50 cheaper. Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I doing something wrong????

The price I have from Disney doesn't include insurance. Any other guesses. Has anyone ever booked their Disney through expedia?

Did you book airfare? There could be a difference in the fees that they each charge?? Just a thought.

Manhattan, I noticed the same thing. Checked Expedia yesterday for 2 adults, BC, no airfare or travel insurance. Then checked with Dreams Unlimited, same situation, they want $34 more. Weird. But I still hesitate to book through Expedia, and I know DU is easy to work with.
Anyone else?

ASMusic, Sept 20-27, 2 Adults

DisneyWorld.com $915.69
Expedia $874.62

This is the FT package only no airfare. Both are without insurance. That is a savings of 41.07. Im pricing this out for a friend and she says they would definatly book the expedia price to save over $40!! Cant wait to see if they offer this for November!!!

OK, I just went back to Expedia to look at this again, and here's why I personally will not use Expedia for the FT package. First, payment for the entire cost of the package is due upon booking, whereas only a $200 deposit is due if booked through DU or Disney. Second, any cancellations are subject to penalty, minimum penalty is $50/person. There is no penalty for change or cancellation through DU or Disney if made 45+ days before arrival. These restrictions aren't worth the $34 savings for me.
Hope this info helps someone else.

I have used Expedia before and once ended up in hotel that left much to be desired. I called Expedia from the hotel to explain the situation. Not only were they unbelievably helpful and nice, but they were able to get me to another hotel at a discount price. Afer I returned home I wrote a letter to them and they refunded the penalties fees.

Make sure you join ebates!!! They give a 1% rebate if you click through their site. I did this for a business trip, and my credit was in my ebates account within a week after travel. I know 1% doesn't seem much, but on a $3k package, it's $30...not bad.
