Expedia fares using credit card miles?

Does anyone know if, when using Chase credit card miles to book airfare, you can purchase Expedia fare rates? Or does it have to be straight-from-the-airlines fares? Fares are ridiculous for our October trip and I finally found one that's closer to reasonable but it's an Expedia rate. The credit card travel service is only open during the week so we can't find out until tomorrow. Thought maybe someone here might have had experience with this and could answer the question. If we can't use the Expedia fare, we're back to waiting and praying. Far too Type-A for this.
