I'm curious to know if anyone has had good luck using Expedia? They have really good (well, in my opinion) CBR rates right now - 99.00/night - for my dates - Jan 15-20 - and I'm thinking of booking through them.

Before I cancel my ressies through CRO I'd like to hear what others have to say about Expedia.

Thanks for any help!

I LOVE EXPEDIA...
USE THEM FOR AIR TRAVEL AND CARS, NOT SO MUCH HOTELS CAUSE WE R DVC MEMBERS
BUT I DO HAVE A ROOM BOOKED THRU THEM FOR FEB..

I have never used Expedia for any travel planning so I cannot give an opinion on them. But I just wanted to let you know that Expedia cannot get any rate at Disney that is not available in one way or another to most anyone.
I would suggest that you take a look at www.mousesavers.com to see if they list any special discounts or codes that are available for the time that you plan to travel. If so, you can rebook yourself through CRO.
Good Luck!
:)

I did go to Mousesavers.com - that's where I discovered the info about Expedia. I did attempt to use a code from Mousesavers to rebook with CRO to no avail. CRO wouldn't budge and give me any kind of a discount. I tried with two different CRO agents two different times, and I was extremely nice with them. I'm going to go with Expedia, however I won't cancel with CRO until I have confirmation from Expedia.

Thanks for the responses here and via email!

Sometimes Expedia shows the rate when it is not actually available. You won't find out until you get to the very last page. Otherwise, you get a confirmation number almost immediately (within hours sometimes minutes.) I have used Expedia for Disney trips w/o any problems. If you have any more questions, you can e-mail me at RSharp219@cs.com (I'm the Rod S. refeered to on Mousesavers.)

I was able to book and confirm through Expedia CBR a water-view for 99.00/night in January! Thanks again to all for your help! :earsgirl:

So glad that you were able to get that great rate! Don't know why CRO has to be so difficult to deal with sometimes. Well, looks as if both you AND Expedia has made out on CRO's stubborness! :)

I used Expedia to book our trip 12/21-12/26 for 2br at VWL 409/night which was same price as CRO but CRO would not give discounted price for 12/25 but on same day able to get discount price for 12/25 on Expedia. Go figure.
