We leave in 4 days on the Wonder. I booked through AAA, but called DCL direct to request the first time cruiser credit. Was told that there would be a $50 credit waiting for us. After reading all of the discrepencies on this board with what people were told, how can I be certain that the credit will be there, and who do I talk to if it is not? Thanks so much, -Sue

Please let the rest of us know what happened with it, when you get back!!!
I asked my TA to specifically list the credit on my confirmation, and I'll be bringing that along. Hope they honor it. I'm surprised that you got the $50 as opposed to the $25 for a 4 day cruise! Maybe that part will be adjusted on you. Let us know!!!

did you also get a shipboard credit from AAA? If you did, you may not get the $50 first time cruiser credit. Just a thought.

We didn't get a shipboard credit from AAA, but we did get the free soda mugs. When I called Disney, I asked for the $50 credit for first time cruisers, she put me on hold, came back and told me specifically that a $50 credit would be applied and I could find it at check in. I will let you know what happens! -Sue

Hi doulasue

We recently returned from a 4 day Wonder cruise and also had a $50 credit (for being members of the Disney Club). We received a card in our state room that said we had received a $50 credit on our shipboard account. I don't know if this is how they notify everyone of credit on accounts but if you don't get a card by the second day of the cruise you could go down to customer service and ask about it.

We sailed 8/01 and i had called for the first time cruisers $50 credit and was told that it would be there. Of course it wasnt, but a trip to the guest services desk straightened it all out! I didnt have to show proof of anything either.

We just returned from the 4/28 Magic and come those last few hours when you get your folio of charges ... low and behond we didn't have our $50 credit. Guest services said that there was nothing on record and that they couldn't/wouldn't do anythingn about it. So...I'm hoping that my travel agent will help me and perhaps get the $50 credit on my credit card. She said that it was taken care of beforehand, so let's see what happens now.

If I were you (and I could do it over again) I would get something in writing before I go.

i checked the day we boarded, and then it got corrected. much easier to do then instead of last day when they were swamped.

Sue,
Yes, I should have been organized and checked to make sure we had it the day we boarded. Our travel agent said that it was taken care of and simply put one less thing to remember out of my mind. Add that to the ressie scramble (which was crazy)..."check and make sure you get your $50 credit."

You can also call before you leave home to make sure it is there.

I just did that earlier today called to make sure my 50$ Disney club credit was applied. She said yes it was there and not to worry.

:)
