Hey!
Not sure if it is the way I have been brought up, or the area I live (Australia) but reading a lot of internet comments on Groups and boards about Disney (Not so much on here, but elsewhere) about people complaining about the following things:
Not getting upgrades for free.
Complaining to try and score free stuff.
Complaining about the obvious - its summer, its hot. Its Disney, it will be busy.
Wanting pixie dust and wishes for every little thing that goes wrong in their life.
The amount of complaints about non disabled people abusing the system.
People getting scammed.
Items being stolen from strollers, etc.
Complaining about "free dining and dining plans not being avail"
It just seems that a lot of people are doing these threads and it doesn't scare me, it just seems to be a vibe of the internet - I was brought up with working hard for what I want. Paying for what I needed to. Researching and finding out what I would be getting. If anything amazing happened, I would be grateful and happy, but I would never expect it. It would dampen my expectations and leave me to be disappointed if it didn't happen? I was also brought up with everything happens for a reason, and if something bad happened to me, I would not really blast it on a public group and hope for wishes to make me feel better, IYKWIM? Maybe I'm just cynical but its starting to kind of get to me that so many people just expect these things to be normal, or that they deserve it? All of us pay the same sort of money to experience Disney and just because you think you are entitled to something, doesn't mean you are?
What is everyone else's thoughts on this? I am just so looking forward to my trip and reading all of these, it just blows my mind how some people think.
