I was wondering if anyone has done this? Is it worth it? Also how does it work? Do you pay a flat fee and get to drive the car you want or does the price depend on what car you want to drive? My wife will be having her Birthday in March when we are there and I was thinking about getting this for her.

I tried posting the link to their site but it won't let since I don't yet have 10 posts. This will be post #10, so my next post will have the link.

Thanks for the post. I am trying to figure this out. I want to do it, but I don't want her to find out. I guess I will have to call them. I need them to wait to not charge my card until before we arrive on March 23. The 23rd will be our first day and that is also her birthday. Has anyone done this as a present and how did you pull it off. She occasionally checks the statements and I don't want her to see the charge and ruin the surprise.

I got my husband 8 laps in the Lamborghini for Christmas. I wrapped the confirmation in a large box, so he had no idea. He said it was the best gift ever and had a blast. I highly recommend it. I also purchased the in car video. The only problem now is he wants to buy an exotic car!

I just ordered it for my husband to do in March. If you don't want your wife to see the charge.. get a visa gift card at the bank and then use that. She will never know.:)
How do you get the IN CAR VIDEO and what is the cost? I think that would be fun.

In the past, I have just paid a friend to book/buy something for me with their credit card. That why I can siphon the money off and she was none the wiser.

Thanks. I know she will love it. The problem is that I want an exotic car and this will probably make it worse. She will want one also. I will get my father-in-law to charge it and I will pay him back. I will definitely wrap the confirmation.

I wouldn't mind more details from someone who has done it at the Disney location. I've known a couple folks who have done it in Vegas.
I'm more curious to know how much time it would take out of your day to do this.......could I fit it in as my 4 year old son takes an afternoon nap? While I'd enjoy this, the vacation is for the little guy first and foremost. I'd rather not spend half a day on it, but an hour or two would be fine.
Is the track on the bus route?
I think it's near the Polynesian?

States that it lasts 2.5 hours. I would guess not that long. Depends on how many people ask questions in the orientation I guess.

When my husband did the Richard petty driving experience there was a van that picked him up from the TTC

I can answer a couple of questions for some despite having not done this particular experience. Your car choice can dictate price. My personal opinion is that additional money is better spent on getting more laps, in the less expensive cars. Unless you absolutely love a certain model car, you'll find that all of them will exceed your limits, and give you a great thrill. If this is your first opportunity to be on a track, you'll find the sensation of speed will be there even on the slowest sections. Nothing quite beats the feeling. It can be enhanced with a good instructor. I'm unsure if the folks riding along seek to teach you, or whether they are simply for general guidance and safety. I'd wager most will teach if you are willing to learn.
