Exiting DCA question

Ok, so we are going to DLR for Halloween weekend. We are spending most of Halloween day in DCA, leaving for dinner, and returning for the Mickeys tirck or treat party. We were originally planning to leave DCA for dinner at The French Market, but with the menu change, I am no longer interested, and have decided to just do dinner at Whitewater Snacks. My question is this: If we are not staying onsite, can I still exit DCA and go straight into GCH, or do I have to use the main exit gate and go down DTD the long way?? Hoping I can take the short cut!!

Well, just a warning, WWS closes at 7 pm. And Yes, you can absolutely use the GCH private entrance to go to the restaurants at any time of day.

The GCH entrance/exit is just like the main gate. Anyone can use it. You present your ticket just as normal and they generally have one person there to do bag checks on your way back into the park.

actually, I think for the first couple of hours after DCA opens that the entrance is only available to DLR hotel guests--I know that there is a sign indicating they may ask for your hotel i.d.

This is true, but if you have your receipt showing you dined at one of the resort restaurants that morning, they will let you in the private entrance, even at park opening.

Thanks for that info. We will be leaving DCA around 5/5:30 for dinner at WWS. That way we can beat out the crowd a little bit being that they close at 6 that day. Thanks for all that info though.
