Exit DCA through GCH

On my upcoming trip I have a reservation at Napa Rose. Based on a map I looked at it looks like the entrance is right next to the DCA entrance in GCH. I know that entrance is only for on-site guests (which I am not), but I'm wondering if that applies to exiting the park as well. Can I go through the GCH exit from DCA and go straight to dinner, or do I need to exit to the esplanade and enter GCH from DTD?

You can exit that way as no one checks cards on the way back they only check on the way in.

You can exit through there no problem! I have exited that way while leaving after WOC without being a resort guest.

Hi, you can exit into the Californian at any time. You can also enter into DCA from the Californian after 11:00AM each day. It's only for On-site guests before that time. Otherwise, anybody can go in and out. Enjoy Napa Rose, it's AMAZING.

I wouldn't say it is just before 11:00 am every day. This summer they checked our room keys no matter what time of day we entered DCA through the GC entry.

Like everyone has said, you can exit to the Grand anytime. Entering is more up to the discretion of the CMs, but I have never had a problem entering with a receipt from a restaurant.

Napa Rose is fantastic. I'm drooling already in anticipation of our December trip already!
Oh yes it is right near the GCH entrance.

In my multiple experiences - they only check until 11am as stated above - and usually have a sign indicating such.
However like anything , it's up to their discretion and at busiest times they may reserve it specifically for onsite guests which is understandable.

I've yet to encounter it yet however - those times it is limited they usually have someone stationed to inform ahead of time though.

i was not an onsite guest when i went in june 2013 and i exited and entered through that entrance.
i was not told it was only for onsite guests and was not given a hard time at all.

i should add that it was after 11am that i exited and it was around 1pm that i re-entered.

The DCA entrance from the Grand is for the exclusive use of on site guest and gusts of the Grand Californian restaurants...meaning if you are going to Napa Rose, you are good to use that entrance with your restaurant receipt.

In reality and how it is currently enforced...ANYONE can exit DCA through the Grand and they only check for room keys using the entrance INTO DCA before 11am and sometimes all day on peak days, but the all day thing is more rear then common...otherwise anyone can come and go as they please.

We tried to use the DCA's GCH entrance on our last stay. We were staying at the GCH.
We went down about 45 minutes after park opening, thinking the lengthy line would be gone by then.
WRONG! It extended from the bag check tables back around to White Water Shack where it "U" back around the otherside of the corridor.
We decided to go around to the front entrance rather than get in that line of people and strollers.

Later in the day, the entrance was easy to use. It was a breeze re-entering DCA.

There was only one time we could not exit through GCH, that was a 24 hour Disney and they were trying to limit people "hanging out" in the lobby and sleeping at GCH. Other than that you should be good to come and go!

Yeah, that line in the morning is brutal. It really isn't a perk at all during the time it is really needed. Don't get me wrong, I love being able to walk back to my room after GRR soaked me, but I would love it more if that entrance really were a shortcut in the morning!
