Exercising at SSR

Hi,

I have now seen several pictures of exercising equipment at SSR. SSR is our home resort and we will be going there in June. I was wondering if there is a fee to use the exercising equipment or does that come with staying there? Thanks.

I assume using the excercise equipment is free.

I am pretty sure it is only free to DVC Members and those who have purchased SPA packages.

The exercise room should be free for all DVC members just like the ones at OKW, BWV and VWL are free.

Also you do not need to be staying at that particular resort to use the equipment. So while staying at SSR you could also use the exercise rooms at the other resorts if you wished.

Note that while the exercise room is in the same building as the spa, it is a DVC feaure and is not Spa related. For those that don't know, the spa itself at SSR is not part of DVC operations but instead is a separate entity of the Walt Disney Corporation, an entity that runs all the spas within Disney. CM's at the spa are not DVC CMs but are separately employed by Disney.

DisneyWorld.com on the spa link to SSR&S states that any spa purchase includes free fitness room, lockers, saunas, and indoor exercise pool. This is only for the day of the spa purchase.


Most hotels allow main pool access along with a spa treatment. I wonder if SSR will do the same? It did not list High Rock Springs as a benefit.
