Exercise Room Privledges

Quick question: can a DVC member use the exercise rooms at DVC resorts even though the member is staying at a non DVC resort?

My wife and I are going but we are staying at All Star Sports on cash and I was wondering if we could use the workout room at either Wilderness or Beach/Yacht Club?

Any thoughts?

I know that you can use OKW at no charge. DH did when we were staying at PopCentury for a couple of days. Just know that he was less than impressed with the workout facility at OKW, so if you are looking for something specific, it might be worth the extra fee to go somewhere else. From what I understand SSR workout facility is really nice. I don't remember specifically what all they had at OKW, but you probably can get by with it for a short workout and at least it doesn't cost anything!

It is my understanding that if you are staying on DVC points there is no charge to use the exercise rooms. However, if you are paying cash I think they charge a fee. As I recall it was not too expensive.

Last week end we stayed at OKW and SSR and used the spa at SSR. It is very nice and there is no charge for DVC members. I would ask when you get to resort and also mention you are a DVC member, if they charge they may provide a discount.

We were told that DVC members not staying at a DVC resort can still use the OKW facilities at no charge. This came from CRO, DH did and no one stopped him. Hopefully, they weren't mistaken.????

At one time, DVC members could use the exercise facilites without paying and I was under the impression that now any guest staying at the resort can use it without paying. Is this not the new rule?

This is for the hotel you're staying at. I think the OP was wondering about hopping to a different hotel's (DVC) workout room (ie, staying at the All Stars which have no workout room, but hopping over to WL to use their workout room)
