I want to get a small piece of exercise equipment. I was leaning towards a foldup treadmill. I want one that is sturdy enough to run on. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Unfortunately, "small" and "sturdy" don't go together with "treadmill." Treadmills need to be big and beefy in order to withstand the punishment their use imposes on them. If size is the consideration, I would aim towards something other than a treadmill, elliptical, cycle, rider, or any of those. Probably the best, "small" piece of exercise equipment there is is a Step -- and an aerobics routine in your DVD.

We've found that you can hang more clothes on the larger treadmills... ;)

On the other hand, after about three weeks when you abandon using the thing, the fold-up treadmill does not take up near as much room, so it's easier to store...but then you lose your "clothes rack".

So true ;)

You will pay more for a fold up treadmill. Is it possible to get one that doesn't fold up?
Get one that has at least a 20" running surface. Also with an incline . I paid over $2000 (canadian) for mine. It is called a Pacemaster ProPlus.
