Executive at Car Care Center?

Our rate drops $250 if we drop our car off at the car care center and pick up a new car during our 2 week stay. I know there is not an executive aisle at the CCC, so, we will be ok with getting the car we booked (mid size), but, will we be assigned a full size due to the executive status? DH always travels to big airports with Exec aisle, so, this will be his first time picking up a car at a location without one.
 
You should. In lieu of using the Emerald Isle, National members can rent a specific class of car, and Executive status provides a one car class upgrade in these cases. If curious, you could call the Car Care Center and ask what they have available as a way to find out specifically what they will do. of course if they don't have anything bigger, then you may be out of luck if you don't call ahead.
 
I have done this before--when I go to drop off the first rental and pick up the new rental, I will park and say that I am not returning the car and that I need to talk to the people inside. Once inside I tell them that I'm okay with just keeping my current car and they check the car in as if I was returning it and then assign it back to me for the new rental. However, if I really don't like the car from the first reservation, then I just pick up a new one for the second reservation.
 
Peeeeeeerrrrfect! Thank you soooo much, I actually went back to check and we are saving over $350 by doing this as we are going over New Year's. Hopefully we will able to keep the car we pick up at the airport.
