Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

Blessed are those that hold family gatherings, for they may be hosting a battlefield.

My mom said that what she wanted for Christmas next year was to have all her family together. The whole reason she moved down here from Louisville was to get away from my sisters up there. There's only 5 of us, including Mom. 26...:sad2: I don't think we could handle that.

Really, Hope the gathering goes well and everyone is still talking to each other next month.

Your Tiger pooping picture is a hit! Kadence and her daddy went to a local zoo last year and were taking pictures of the lions pooping. :rotfl2:

I hope you found your way back to EE, I know Kadence now wishes it had broken down!:crazy2:

I love that John's 3-D bugs glasses are upside down!

Coming back later with replies.

For now, I ask that you all keep our local high school students' safety in your prayers. A student from my son's school was suspended Friday and, over the weekend, threatened to shoot up the school and kill kids. The local police have said that they have everything under control but that's all they have said. When I dropped Hunter off at school, there were two Sheriff's Deputy cars there and several armed Deputies standing outside. Although this does help to calm the parents' and students' fears, we all know that if a sick and twisted person wants to do something bad, they will find a way to do it. Please keep them all in your prayers while we await further news.

Press release from West Monroe Police:

Through their investigation officers were able to promptly identify and locate the suspect who is a 15 year old student of West Monroe High School. The student was taken into custody and interviewed by officers. He was later transported to the Green Oaks Detention Center and charged with Terrorizing.

Investigators determined that the juvenile had not yet made any preparations to carry out his intended threat.

Since this incident involves a juvenile, we will be unable to release any names of the parties involved or any additional information.

I'm all caught up...I think.

I'm loving your day at the AK. Love the tiger relieving himself.

I shouldn't get behind again (I hope!). ;)

Lisa, I'm so sorry but so glad the kid was caught and is in custody. I hope they get him any and all help he obviously needs. I know all of the public schools in my county will have at least one police officer posted outside the entrances every day this week to help parents feel safer and to avoid any copycats. I pray for everyone that nothing else happens like this anywhere in the country not just this week, but ever. :grouphug:

I hope Hunter and all the students are ok emotionally. That is a scary thing for them to have happen to them.

Hi Lisa! Wow! What a horrible thing for those students! Glad they caught the person & put a stop to it! Hope all the kids are ok! (((HUGS))) to Hunter!

Lisa I'm so sorry this is happening at Hunter's school. Let's just prey thats the end of it since he is in custody.

I remember when I was in school all we had were fire drills. River has to have "intruder" drills where all the children have to hide and barricade themselves in the classroom :sad2:

Lisa,

What is going on with the world right now??? My daughters high school the same thing happened! Many emails to parents and voice messages left at home. This is crazy!

Prayers going out for all kids everywhere for safety in their schools...

Wendy

PS loving your TR! You guys are a HOOT!!

God bless Hunter and keep him safe. What is this world coming to?

That incident with the school is so scary, especially in light of Connecticut. Sounds as though the sheriff handled it well, though. Sad that we have to have police outside our schools these days. :confused3

Hope the Christmas get-together goes well. I think you were very smart to get the food, and it surely gives you a break and a chance to enjoy it yourself. Have a great time, and Merry Christmas to you all.

I am all caught up.

I loved your Fantasmic pics! We haven't seen it for a while, I really want to make time for it on our next trip (whenever it may be.)

Your AK pics are great too, love that Hunter has those tradition pictures. The gorilla pics are fantastic, when we went 2 weeks ago the gorillas were hard to spot & I didn't get any pics. The tiger pics are great!

That is so scary about Hunter's school. I know there were threats in our area too.:sad2: All this violence, I just pray it stops.

I hope your family gathering went well!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We missed out on the Lion King show AND Bugs life. But that's what the next trip is for, right? I hope that we can go every 2 years or so with the girls, so we can eventually do EVERYTHING. :goodvibes

So sad and scary about Hunter's school- especially in light of the horrible shooting at Sandy Hook& I'm glad that your school and police took the threat seriously and acted quickly. Maybe that's a school we will NEVER have to hear about on the nightly news thanks to the cool headed leadership!

Oh& and Cortlyn was so disappointed when we got home and our quest for Hidden Mickey's ended!

Lisa, I stopped by to wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your family, and read about the situation at Hunter's school. How scary for all, especially after what happened in Connecticut. I'm glad they found th eperson and hope he gets some help.
