Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

That's great you all were able to save so much money by switching resorts. I have complete faith for you that they will come out with a discount for CBR for your dates! We've stayed at Pop 4 times and I love it. I really like all that crazy Disney in your face stuff::yes::

That was so nice for you all that John got the sleep he needed and you and Hunter got to go off and do something.

We never got to ride Soarin on our last trip, they were out of fastpasses when we got there and the wait was always over an hour so we just skipped it.

It looks like you had a lovely dinner at Epcot and  a nice time catching up with your baby.

I hope mama got the phone issue taken care of without to much stress for her!

Wow! Great post! Those pizzas look soooo good and huge! Good to know if we ever get back to Disney.... ;)

I'm really late to the party, but I'm seriously enjoying your report. Your iron contraband story cracked me up!

I visited Magic Springs years ago and my boyfriend of the time (he didn't last long) talked me into riding The Hawk. I could have killed him...well I was in no shape to even cuss him out after that experience.

Anyway, I do have some good memories of Hot Springs with my DH. We would day trip there occasionally when we lived in Arkansas. It's a really beautiful place.

Loved the update! Sleep does a body good-lesson to be learned for all of us. Glad John gave in and let himself rest.
Hoping to come home to much more to read. Leaving in the morning for your home away from home and hoping I find it as enjoyable as you do. You have made me quite excited to try CBR again.

We tried Via Napoli for the first time last trip, and we LOVED it! We were too full for dessert though, and I'm still kicking myself for that.

So glad that Lacey and Jesse arrived safely. You must have been so happy to have your whole brood with you at WDW!

If you go back to Via Napoli definitely save room for the desserts, even if you share just one. They are delicious!

Great updates! We never tried Via Napoli either.

When you said the one pizza doesn't normally come with a red sauce, what kind of sauce does it usually come with? Anakin loves alfredo sauce. Do they have an alfredo pizza?

When you walked by the Brave sand sculpture, did you also partake in the Highland Games?

From what I understood, the cheese pizza didn't come with any sort of sauce on it. When I asked about a sauce for Hunter's pizza, she asked if we wanted her to add the red sauce.

Were the Highland Games near the Brave sculpture? There was a large space right across and beside the sculpture but they were blocked off.

Your dinner at Via Napoli made me so hungry!! The dessert you had is the one I want to try next time. Glad to hear it was as good as it looked!

It's too bad your family doesn't want to rent DVC points cause that is a great option!! I really like having the villa space BUT, having said that, I would be very excited to stay at AOA. I love Pop but the new AOA resort just looks so fun. I think it'll give Pop a run for its money!:cool1: Of course, there's always a good chance there WILL be a discount offered and you can be right back at CBR!

Glad John was feeling better and Lacey and Jessie arrived safely. Looking forward to more "land" adventures!

I'm still working on them on renting points but both John and Mama are hooked on the dining plan. They have both said that they don't want to go without it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some sort of discount offered during our travel dates.

I'm glad to hear that John was feeling a bit better after resting! I agree, even just window shopping in DTD is definitely better than just sitting around the room!

Soarin is a beautiful ride! 110 minutes is a bit long of a wait for it though!

Glad to hear that you enjoyed your dinner at VN! Agreed, you can't have an Italian meal without dessert!! :thumbsup2

Yay for Lacey and Jesse arriving!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I figured a good long nap is just what John needed and it was!

I really like Soarin' but there's no way I'd wait 110 minutes to ride. That's just too long.

YAY! Mega update!

I'm glad John got some rest and meds so he was feeling better.:thumbsup2 Who wants to be grumpy in the happiest place on earth!

Via Nappoli! I want to eat there so bad, I just couldn't fit it in this time. Everything I seen so far has been so good, reviews too. The deserts looked too yummy, is there such a thing as too yummy?

The Family is together!:cool1: Lets get this trip going!:hyper:

It had been so long since I had updated and I felt bad but works been heck the last week and a half.

Heck no! Something can never be too yummy!

Yeah :cool1: for an AoA reservation and saving some $$$$$$$$. I hope you do get a discount, but I hope you use it at AoA. I'm serious - that place is super cool. And you could still walk to CBR (carefully). I actually do know how to walk there and enter in Trinidad South.

So glad you like Via. You mean there are actually people who hate it? REally? Your food looks yummy and those desserts - Wow!

So glad that Lacey finally arrived.

Poor momma putting her phone in the wash. What a drag.

I've been looking at as many AoA pictures as I can. I'm really worried about our "down days" and what we will do. At the CBR, there's a laid back feel that we enjoy on our down days and I'm not so sure that we'll have that at AoA. Right now, we're excited about saving all that extra money!

Yep, can you believe that I've read some really bad reviews on Via Napoli? It was fantastic to us!

Poor Mama is right. She was just beside herself. But, she had a lot on her plate over the course of a week....she visited with my aunt who had only days to live, my aunt passed away, we weren't there to help comfort her and then she washed her phone.

Love reading your posts! We will be in WDW in T – 34 hours:cool1: Your posts have helped me make it through the last few months. I get so excited every time I see a new post!

Oh I'm sooooooo excited for you! I hope that you have a great time!

I haven't read your TR yet but I'm subscribing so I can come back to it....with a title like that there is no way I could pass it up:rotfl2:

Welcome! I have handy dandy chapter links on the first page!

Oh, my, I was way behind!

Back to the port. Good thing you were able to get your iron back without a big hassle. I guess. I don't even know where my iron is! I am very fortunate that my husband's work attire is casual- jeans and sports shirts, and when I am teaching at the farm, I don't need to dress up.

Well I'm sure John made that bellman's day with that tip.

Glad for your arrival at Disneyworld and your checkin.

It was fun reading your Electric Umbrella flashback.

Sorry that your fun at EPCOT was cut a little short, and your DISmeet was quick, but it sounds like getting John back to the resort was important. I'm happy to hear that you and Hunter got out for a little DTD time.

Yum, your dinner at Via Napoli looked fabulous. We haven't been there yet. But if we go, those zeppoles WILL make it onto our table.

:woohoo: for the arrival of Lacey and Jesse!

I hope Mama's phone issues are resolved. I had world's cheapest phone, a pay-as-you-go Trac phone, for the longest time. That thing was run over, and dropped in a "body of water" (not saying where exactly :rolleyes1) and the darn thing kept working!

I wish that I didn't have to iron! You lucky woman you! John wears the most worn out, stained clothes to work because he doesn't want to ruin his other clothes. I always tell everybody that he cleans up really well. ;)

John really needed that long nap/rest. It really was the best medicine for him.

Mama had that same phone that you are talking about forever. She loved her little Trac phone but she wouldn't use all of the minutes and then would have to buy more so she wouldn't lose those and it ended up costing her more than it did for us to just add her to our plan.

Wow! Great update!

First off, I'm glad John got to rest a bit. I'm sure he needed it.

We spent a while at DTD in May. My 10-year-old had money burning a hole in her pocket to use at Little MisMatched. She absolutely loves crazy socks and to be able to mix and match them? She was in heaven! :lmao:

We loved the Brave sand sculpture...until the rain made it look like it had some sort of disease. I wish I would have known how much my girls were going to love that movie. We would have done more with it when we were there, but it was before it came out, so we had no clue.

We love Via Napoli! We always get the pizza and a salad. We are actually heading there for lunch in November. I can't wait! It's always really good when we go.

Yay for Lacey and Jesse making it!!! Boo for poor Mama having a hard time. I'm hoping y'all were able to get everything taken care of for her.

Can't wait to hear more!

I don't blame your daughter for having to buy some of the cute things in Little Missmatched. That place has some very cute socks!

Do you know that we never made it to the theater to see Brave? I feel bad since we usually go see every Disney movie there is. But, I know that we'll buy it when it comes out.

I wonder if I can order a salad as my entree and then share a pizza with Hunter? I think I'll ask next time we go.

I have had that same experience at DTD with the buses changing shifts at Pleasure Island. In fact, all 3 times I went to DTD in February our drivers switched at Pleasure Island, and it made the trip 20-30 minutes longer due to it.

That Brave sand sculpture is AMAZING!

The food and desserts at Via Napoli all look delicious. I would love to eat there. I thought about doing the Candlelight Prosessional Dinner Package, but Via Napoli is booked already for it :(

Yay for Lacey and Jesse being there!!!!

I'm glad to hear that it's not just us who have the bus driver switch game played on us when at DTD.

Doesn't Via Napoli have a walk-up window? If they do, you should try it!

You are true to your word!!!
That was a great update - I laughed when you said you took 2 pictures at DTD! I don't take a lot there either for some reason - too busy shopping I guess! Glad that sleeping helped John feel better so you could all enjoy Soarin' - probably my favorite ride! - and have a good dinner!

I would like to try Via Napoli soon. I love all things Italian!! Food, wine, art, culture etc. Plus my DH is 1/2 Italian! Maybe we'll check out Tutto Gusto. We didn't make a lot of ADRs this trip because of F&W and staying in the villa - none are in Epcot. :(

I was afraid that I wouldn't get the installment posted before Noon but I barely squeezed it in.

I guess I was too busy shopping/looking at DTD too 'cause the pictures there were really lacking.

I've always wanted to go to WDW during the F&W festival. I envy you!

Sleep was definitely what John needed! I hope that ya'll have a great time at WDW! I'd be stowing away in your suitcae if I could!

I'm really late to the party, but I'm seriously enjoying your report. Your iron contraband story cracked me up!

It's never too late to join in on our fun! I hope that you'll continue to read along and post!

There's no way that I'd get on The Hawk at Magic Springs. That sucker would make me throw up!

Wow! Great post! Those pizzas look soooo good and huge! Good to know if we ever get back to Disney.... ;)

The pizzas were big enough that Hunter and I could have split them. They were big and delicious!

Yay! glad you liked via napoli. We will be eating there for the first time on wed next week. We leave in 27hrs for the airport!!

I hope that you enjoy Via Napoli as much as we did! You are so lucky to be going to WDW so soon! Ya'll have tons of fun!

I hope mama got the phone issue taken care of without to much stress for her!

We are all excited about the savings that we have by switching resorts. I just hope that something comes up that we can take advantage of, even if it meant saving more money on the AoA room or another moderate.

I love Soarin' but I can't see waiting an hour to ride it either. That's a long wait!

Mama's phone issues were straightened out with just two phone calls.

/
yes, it was probably the closed off section. They had several different games to play. You spun a wheel and won a Brave Button. And at the end you got an accordian style booklet of Brave postcards

Great update! I'm so glad you liked Via Napoli, it's definitely a new favorite of mine and I can't wait to take my family there on our next trip, yikes on the standby time at Soarin!

I think you are on to something with the driver change at PI...

Thank you so much for the great report!! I have enjoyed reading every update and check everyday to see if you have posted more. I don't ever post but this trip report is so good I had to tell you. :thumbsup2

Waiting patiently for the next chapter!!

I'm still working on them on renting points but both John and Mama are hooked on the dining plan. They have both said that they don't want to go without it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some sort of discount offered during our travel dates.

Hey Lisa - you should look into this because I think you can add it now...

I've never rented points myself, but I've looked into it MANY times. This site leads me to think you can add the dining plan. Obviously it will never be a part of a "Free Dining" promo, but fuzzy Disney math might make this a reasonable alternative plan for y'all! (<-- that's me trying to be Southern :cool1:)

All caught up again! Love the Caribbean Resort. How cool, though, about staying at AofA (maybe). I am trying to decide on a resort for our planned October 2013 trip. In the running are one room at Caribbean Beach, a family suite at AofA, or two rooms at Pop Century. I CAN'T DECIDE!!!! :rotfl2:

Yours is the second review of Via Napoli that makes me want to eat there. It just sounds so good.

I did change our resort last night. We are now booked in a Little Mermaid room at Art of Animation. The pictures that lovethattink and MEK are what made up our minds for us. That, at the fact that it's a brand new resort. Oh and there's that little thing called MONEY that helped in the decision making as well.

Mama will save $653.62. We will save $653.56. Lacey and Jesse will save $400.42.

By changing resorts, we are guaranteed to save money. If a special offer comes out that we can take advantage of and it's good enough, we'll jump back to a moderate resort. Let's say they offered 20% off your room at the CBR: 1) We would save approximately $436; 2) Mama would save approximately $436; 3) Lacey would save approximately $298. So, we're keeping our fingers crossed that there's an offer for our travel dates. If not, we know we are saving by staying at the AoA.

Lisa, do you know what the discount would be for CBR if they do offer one? Is it always 20%? Just trying to figure out what the price would be if they do offer a discount.

I also don't know which Value to choose. Was thinking Pop at first, but then was looking into the Little Mermaid Room at AoA, but hear the walk to the Food Court is pretty far!! Such a tough decision!!!! Would be so much easier if we could just afford to stay at CBR!!!! :upsidedow

well shoot I missed out on a ton since I had bookmarked your TOC page haha off to catch up!! Love your reports

ok it wasn't a ton. Evidently I'm an exaggerator! Was only an update behind. I miss the banter when I just read off the contents page but not sure I'd ever make it through a whole report if I didn't lol

Can't wait for you to introduce your Son in law to the magic of Disney!

I am glad your trip is taking a turn for the better! We own DVC and have stayed at AKL twice and just LOVE it! I am 99% positive that when you are renting points you can add the dining plan..I know that as a member I can add it. I don't see that it would be different when renting! I have the name of someone we rented a days worth of points from on our last trip if you are interested!

I'd love to have the name of the person you rented from! I think the unknown is what everyone's afraid of. I have no idea how to go about the whole process.

Great update!!:thumbsup2

As I'm sure you already know....I feel the same way about Soarin'! A ride that can't be missed! We love it!:lovestruc

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed Via Napoli! We haven't tried it yet but I'm definitely putting it on our list for next time. I have read such great reviews lately. Your pizza and dessert look so yummy!::yes::

WHEW! I finally caught up!! :crazy2: Work, kids, husband… and barely any time for myself!

Sounds like you and a few dozen friends cared about looking good on the cruise! :rotfl: I wouldn't have ever dreamed that an iron would be contraband, and clearly, we aren't alone in that thought!

YAY being "home" at CBR (which leads me to this- I'll believe it when I see the pictures of your room that you aren't staying at CBR!;) But YAY for your next trip being planned!!!)! And a lovely first day in EPCOT! Were they enforcing the fastpass time by this point?

Via Napoli sounds amazing! There are so many restaurants on my list of "must-try's"!

I'm glad to hear Lacey and Jesse arrived safely. What a blessing that they were able to join you.

Hope things worked out with Mama's cell phone. Jeepers!
