Excuse Me, Does this Milk Come with Refills? A Review w/pics! Updated 1900 PF 12/27

Really enjoying your reviews and pics. The peanut butter chocolate cake at sci-fi looks good, I was going to order that but we were just too full from our entrees.

Our next stop was dinner @ Hollywood & Vine.

I would skip this next time. We did this last year and should have never done it again. We would have went to Mama Melrose's but they couldn't make sure that 6 of us were together. So....H & V it was.

Fantasmic pkg was a joke this time. We got our pass, but we go in with the regular crowd. The whole reason I got the pkg. was for the parents (who are on scooters) to avoid the crowds.

I think I was upset with this and therefore took only 1 picture...

I don't know what could be done differently. Maybe it's just us, but this was a dissapointment this year. :sad1:

Hello! Hello!

We're back from a 7 night stay at the Polynesian. I am going to attempt to do a food review, my first. So after reading all the other reviews, I'm going to give it a shot! Bear with me, it might be pretty good.

Okay - 1st day -

We flew in from Upstate NY and were there around 11am - 12 pm.
Staying 7 nights at the Poly with Deluxe Dining.

There are 6 of us. My parents, the husband and the 2 daughters.

Hence the title: The reason for the title will be further on down the road... :)

Aloha habg1! Thanks for the food review.:) My sister & I are planning on going Nov.27-Dec. 4, 2009 and will also be staying at the Polynesian using the Deluxe Dining Plan. Just wondering if you have also posted a review of your stay on either the resort forum or a trip report. I was interested in which longhouse you were in? If you want you can PM me the information.

Hello! No, no trip review. Sorry. We stayed in Rapa Niue (?). Mostly because we asked for a room close to the parents, who asked for a handicap accesible room.

Loved the building & room, but if you plan on being in the lobby or pool most of the time, ask for one closer. It's not a bad walk, 5 minutes tops. But on a chilly night, closer the better. If you will have a car, you can't beat the location, we could see our car from the patio. It was a 30 sec walk to the car from our room. If I can answer any questions for you, fire away...

Animal Kingdom day brought us to Pizzafari for breakfast. I only took 1 picture here. Don't ask me why, might be I I was distracted by Timon outside the window. But here it is.

Breakfast Platter X 4

All good. Usual counter service breakfast. Everything was hot. Couldn't ask for more.

Up next Yak & Yeti lunch

This was a delight! I was thiiiiisss close to canceling this ressie. I was nervous about this. But not to worry, it was a hit.

We sat upstairs and had a view of the sidewalks below. We used the elevator, because of the parents. Not a problem. Great theme, nice service.

We were stuffed after we left. Here's what we had:

Fried green beans - my 9 year old actually wolfed a bunch of these down. :thumbsup2

So glad you liked Yak & Yeti. We fell in love with it in September. I had the sweet/sour pork and was in heaven.

We had a ressie at Tusker house at 4:55pm that day, but decided to cancel. Called the reservation line and got a reservation for Boatwright's @ Port orleans Riverside. We stayed there last year and never ate there, so we decided to try it this year.

So here we go:

Corn Bread for all

Corn & Crab Chowder X 3

Mom had the Romaine Salad

OK - Now the title. The husband loves milk, drinks it like water. So he orders a milk here. What come out was a glass smaller than the kids drinks. Here's a picture, but I should have put the kids glass next to it for comparison. No refills on the milk either. The kids milk, yes. Adult milk, no. Go figure. Totally does not make sense. The glass was smaller than the kids, and no refills. Husband was not happy. Can you blame him?

Anyway, any of the meals that followed we started to ask about the milk and if there were refills. Hence, the title of my review.

So, the moral of the story is: don't order milk here, because you're not going to get squat. Stick with the sodas.

Otherwise the meal was pretty good. We topped off our meal with a nice carriage ride around the French Quarter with a horse named Prince Charming.

I'll see if I have a picture of the carriage and horse tomorrow.
