Excuse me, but does anyone have some spare ice

Nutsy, I just got done talking to a friend in Hervey Bay and he said he's pretty sure he's melting!

Told him to go put his butt on ice!! LOL LOL

I hear it might get warmer YET for you folks??

It was possibly hotter up in Hervey Bay than it was here. They are 3 1/2 hrs north of us, nice place for a holiday tho.;)

Melting we sure were.......hottest February day on record.:( :(

You would never complain again about heat if you lived where I live. I'm sick and tired of the winter, we spent two months in the single digits or below , we have snow out the wazoo and we are still at only 25 degrees as we speak.
I want the 109 degrees anytime!!!

You want the 109 temp............you can have it........just remember it comes with about 80% humidity:(

Very uncomfortable, you will be dripping with perspiration in less than 5 mins:(

At least with cold weather you can rug up, but with this heat, there is no cooling down, not even the beach is worth a visit. If you don't burn your feet walking over the sand to get to the water, then you will think it very much a waste of time once you hit the water.......it's not even refreshing as the ocean temps are way up there too:(

Don't you have air conditioning?

Nope. Air con is a luxury most Aussies can't afford. It's only the wealthy who have air con over here.

Well, I guess that 109 degrees without air conditioning really does suck then
We are pretty spoiled over here, lots of air conditioning going on in the summer.
You could always eat that chocolate "soup" you got in your letter K exchange parcel :p

The Halifax Nova Scotia area of Canada (easten) has some snow to spare. In one day (Friday I think) received 95 cm of snow and where expecting another 25 cm this weekend.

really, cant you buy some a/c on line from the States

I'd send you some ice, Nutsy, but with the postal service being so bad about my mailing stuff your way, you might not get it until your birthday or something.;)

We've been watching weather reports about your corner of the world and have been thinking of you. BTW, DH is still ready to jump on a plane!!!

Hope you get some relief soon!

OMG---Icy thoughts being transmitted to you across the Pacific~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:boat:

Nutsy, I've got a suggestion. For those nights that you don't have to go anywhere. Get some clothes wet and put them in the freezer for a little while, then put them on. It cools you off rather quick. :teeth:
