Excursions in Kralendijk, Bonaire

Hi, friends!
Looks like we are headed to Kralendijk, Bonaire on the 10 night southern Caribbean.
When looking at DCL's excursions for this, there is not a single one that allows children under 10. I have 3C: 7, 9, 11.
Does anyone have any experience/recommendations for non-Disney excursions for this port?
And silly question, but does anyone have any experience with the double dip snorkel trip or something similar? All the photos show people fully under water with the snorkel...I thought you had to have the snorkel "pipe" sticking up above the water so you could breathe?

My standard Bonaire recommendation is for Woodwind Snorkel and Sailing Excursions. We've used them twice, and I am quite certain that children under 10 were on the boat.

I wholeheartedly agree with this recommendation. Woodwind Snorkel in Bonaire is the single best Caribbean shore excursion we have ever done. I'm not sure of any age restrictions - my DS was 12 when we did it. OP, I would definitely reach out to Woodwind to see if you can book. They sell out, so I would reach out ASAP.

You are very lucky to be going to one of our favourite ports. We took our girls who were 9 and 11 at the time to Porto Marie beach. We took one of the shared taxis from the port and had the best snorkelling and saw the pigs on the beach.

All the photos show people fully under water with the snorkel...I thought you had to have the snorkel "pipe" sticking up above the water so you could breathe?

You can dive underwater (below pipe level) . Just hold your breath, and/or gently breathe out while underwater to keep the pipe clear. You can't stay under long, but people do it.

OR, you remove the snorkel before diving down. Be sure to clear the pipe before breathing in once you return to the surface.

This is wonderful to hear. We are on the 10 night southern in July too and I have booked with Woodwind for our family already. 2 adults and 2 teens 15 & 13. I'm hoping they love it! The pictures on trip advisor look fantastic.

Bonaire you have a couple good choices was just there last week as well.

• Snorkeling
• Scuba Diving
• Island Tour (you can do this self guided in a golf cart, yes I said golf cart and its the suggested option)
• Walk around port

The beaches are not as good in Bonaire as its fairly rocky.

Is there something specific above that sparks your interest the most?

Yep, no booking via Viator or TripAdvisor. Their website shows this:

“Currently, Woodwind is offering tours on demand, either 4 or 5 hours. The cost is $85.00 per person.

We are usually fully booked one week in advance, so it’s a good idea to book early.

Since our advertising budget is zero-nill-nada, you are looking at this web page right now because someone told you to book a tour with us.

We are not going to spend time and “ink” telling you how good, wonderful and brilliant we are doing our snorkel tours. Your friend’s testimony should be enough. You can do a quick Google search “Woodwind, Bonaire” if you don’t trust your friends.

They even have prescription masks available.

They have been taking out guests since 1990, per a post on their FB page.
