We are sailing in November and need advice on excursions for St. Thomas and St. Maarten. We are trying to narrow our choices from the many that are available. We are not water sports or beach people so we are looking at what is left, namely sightseeing or hiking/biking.

Would be interested in your opinions on the best options. Thanks! :flower:

We loved the eco hike on St. Johns island. They will give you a bottle of water at the start of the hike, It's a nice hike, lots of kids. Our guide was very good and knowledgible of the local history. You have a few minutes to swim towards the end and visit a old sugar mill too. Just a note to you, if you do this hike they ONLY bathroom is on the ferry boat to the hike. None on the actual hike.
If your kids are younger the butterfly farm on St/ Maartin is really nice too. It is more geared for kids.
On both these islands there are no water fountains, water is very expensive, so take a water bottle from the ship with you. Also bathrooms are far and few even on excursions. Most have them, but not always on the actual tour, usually before and after the excursion. The only public bathrooms that are free are the excursion ones and the ones in the casinos. All other public restrooms will charge you to use them, and their standards of sanitation is far different from ours in their public restrooms. The ones on the excursions are pretty clean, but not the public ones. Hope this helps some.
