Excursion first time cruise bookings

So you don't have to swim to get to the spot where you snorkel? You can wade through the water to get to it? And then stand to actually snorkel? Grandma here doesn't want any surprises, like a swimming marathon.

You can snorkel in pretty shallow water, but there is nothing to see. If you want to actually see fish and the underwater Mickey and other things, you do have to swim out quite a ways. You cannot just wade out to the area. It's not a marathon or anything, but it is farther than I thought it would be.

And, it's often tougher swimming back to shore. I found it pretty tiring.

I tried to post some photos from our first snorkel trip on Castaway Cay in November 2013 but didn't have much luck. :)

It is not a marathon, but it is aways out there. :) And you definitely are not wading for the majority of the time. However, it is really gorgeous and you can take it slow and easy getting there and getting back.

We always go parasailing while we are at Castaway Cay and absolutely love it! Once we are done with that we just hang out at the beach. When we went to Nassau, we went to a private beach and it was amazing. No matter what you choose to do, I am sure you will have a fantastic time!

I pretty much had to swim with my daughter on my back most of the way back because she got tired. We also did not inflate out vests, which we will try next time. Maybe that will make it easier.

Do you know if they have snorkel boards for kids available for rent at CC? Or can we bring our own? I have a 6 year old who is a very good swimmer but hates to breathe through the snorkel and wear a mask. We rented a snorkel board in Florida once, and it worked out fabulous.

No snorkel boards. And personal floats (inflatable or otherwise) are not allowed on Castaway Cay.

There are floats/tubes you can rent.
