We have just been away on a cruise around the Norwegian Fjords. We had an amazing time.

To make it the perfect holiday my boyfriend of nearly nine years proposed.

It was so romantic and I am still on cloud nine :cloud9:

Not sure when the wedding will be, but it certainly wont take nine years lol, but I may be able to convince him to go for a Disney wedding ;)

Just wanted to share with you all my wonderful news :)

Congratulations to you both. Sounds like the perfect place to propose :)

Congratulations! That's wonderful news! I love Norway and it's my dream to do a Fjords Cruise. My fiance and I are looking at it for our honeymoon.

I'd love to hear more about it! Who did you travel with and did you get to see the Northern Lights?

:thumbsup2

Thank-you every-one for the best wishes xx
I still can't stop smiling :)

We have never been on a cruise before and were blown away by it, and in fact we are now looking to do another next year instead of a Disney trip

We travelled with MSC on their Opera ship. The ship was a smaller ship but we thought it still had plenty to do. It was beautiful and clean and the food and service was fantastic. The staff work so hard, were so very polite and were excellent at what they did.

Unfortunately not all British people thought the same as us about the cruise as a whole, but I do think that was more to do with a lot of them just enjoying complaining.

The Fjords were stunning. I have never seen anything like it before. We didn't get to see the Northern lights though as it was the wrong time of year as there was day light for around 19 to 20 hours, so you need to go when it's winter I think to have more of a chance of seeing them.

The one thing I would say is that we didn't have enough time In the ports. That was our own fault though as we should really have looked at that when we booked, but never having done it before we were concentrating on the places that it went to rather than how long they stayed there.

I would definitely recommend :thumbsup2

Oh thanks for the info! It sounds fantastic and I will definitely be looking into it.

We will probably go in the winter because seeing the Northern Lights is on my bucket list!

Congratulations again!
