Exciting magic band news for those who get to test it

Starting tomorrow at akl and cr their going to sell some accessories for them. Like they do for crocks that fit in the holes and sleeves to go over them and not sure what else. Not sure if you have to show it for them to pull out the merchandise or will they have it out so everyone can buy some of the accessories.

MagicBand accessories and charms were first reported in early spring. There's many rumors out there regarding what exactly will be available for purchase, but you can feel confident that there will be plenty of options once the bands are available to everyone.

Even since then, more rumors have surfaced. Now that we can see the actual bands to be used, we can speculate further (see pics in the blogs from Shaun and I below):

I'm excited to see everything when it's in stores! Don't plan on the accessories being available for everyone to purchase any time soon though. That won't happen until testing is complete and the bands are ready for public use.

The guest test will be 6/20-26. They were pre selected before they arrive at WDW.

They are able to make 3 Fast Pass selections each day at one park. Of course they need a ticket to enter the park. They will be able to get fast passes for some rides that currently don't have a fast pass machine.

How long are these "Magic Bands" supposed to stay on your wrist? I would think they would start to get uncomfortable on a hot day. I sure would not want to wear one my entire vacation of 8 days in the parks.

as long as you want they don't have to stay on your wrist if you don't want to so they can stay in your bag put on a lanyard.

The cover look nice I think you get to choose between haunted mansion small world and something else and the magic bandits as some call it come with Mickey phensa and pherb and others.

Here at Contemporary now and am one of the lucky ones that is getting to test them!! We are having a lot of fun with them and it is really neat not having to get up and rush to the parks for rope drop in order to get the Fast Passes for Soarin', Toy Story etc.
I did see the accessories in the gift shop today! Super cute and had to walk away before I overspent!!!

Anyone knows when the magicband will start to works for all guests? Why they are selling the accessories if just a few guests are testing the magicbands?

Nobody knows when the Magic Bands will roll out to all guests yet, not even Disney. No doubt it depends somewhat on the results of the pilot testing that is going on right now.

As to why they are selling the accessories, why not? Disney can make money off of them no matter if the guest puts them on a MagicBand or on something else.
