Hello there!
I'm so excited!
We are buying into DVC this weekend and since we are going to GA next weekend for a family gathering, I decided to ask our guide if she could check into any of the resorts for a 5 night stay. She was able to get us our home resort AKV for Sunday-Thursday in a stardard studio!
Now we were supposed to leave GA to go to TX to visit my other daughter(we are from Chicago)
but now we are driving to FL instead for a few days and then go to TX for a week. Well, I need to plan everything in one week not to mention that are going to have to sepnd less this time as it was not in our plans to go back so soon( we were there this late April for Easter)
I need the help from all the experts
I can wait to see my DD and DS's faces when we get to Disney!
God willing!:dance3:
thanks a lot!

Congratulations! You are very lucky that your Guide was able to secure a reservation for you before you even signed the contract!

Perhaps they are extending them these extra parameters with the economy in such bad shape to motivate more buyers. Even with your previously rescinded contract they are definitely going the extra mile to arrange this for you!!

Have a great trip! :)

thanks a lot Carol!
I figured if we are going to have to pay our MF even prorated , might as well use some days and some points this year!

Since you have a car, why don't you bring some sort of small appliance so you can do more regarding fixing some meals than just having to rely on using the microwave.

Find out the park hours and make a plan! Have a great time...there are lots of things to do around the resort, enjoy...and Welcome Home!

I'm thinking that we are probably going to get the DP with the 2 over the counter and 2 snacks since you get the resort with it also. I figured that we could easy spend 100 dollars per day and I would I abput 105 per day with the Dp.Last April, we got the DP with the TS and we loved it, but this time we are shorter in cash, I'm thinking we could eat a light breakfast in the room and ue the 2 OC for lunch and dinner. I'm just rying to find out if the tickets that we bought in April can be upgrated to AP
Maybe not. Now our next planned trip is until next year but at the end of June or maybe July

Congrats on buying into DVC! I was going to suggest one of the DP's. We are also thinking that we are going to do the QS plan instead of the sit down plan (we have two small ones that might not care to sit each night).

Anyway, have a great time and good luck!

thanks,
I dont know if I want to do the basic or the one with the TS as I get tired of Hamburgers and stuff really fast. It would be about 160 dollars in difference for the 5 days but I would really like to go back to Mama Melrose and try the one at AKV

I would highly recommend eating at Sanaa at the Kidani Village section at AKV.
I don't know if you are staying at Kidani or Jambo, but either way, it is well worth it to make your way over to Sanaa for either lunch or dinner. We have tried both, and just loved the quality of the food there. Even the burger is expertly prepared, and just delicious. The views of the animals while dining is not to be matched anywhere, and the quality of the food just makes it that much better. The service is also outstanding! Getting hungry just thinking about it!
