Excited beyond belief.......

I know it's ridiculous but our cruise documents have just arrived - only 34 days to our first ever cruise! We are sailing from Miami on the Disney Magic in the 18th December and its a surprise for our kids (big kids aged 23 and 19!!). So pleased that Disney were able to send the documents to my workplace so that the kids didn't pick up the mail!

Sorry that this isn't an interesting post but I am just so excited!!!!

You will LOVE your first cruise. However, I really have to warn you (although it's too late now). Disney cruises are like potato chips - you can't have just one. Prepare for the time of your life - and to be hooked!

Also the Magic is a terrific ship! Enjoy!

Relish the anticipation. Read various boards, there are some great ones. Find a Disney Cruise Line special on the Travel Channel. Order and watch the DCL DVD. Then love your cruise from the moment you enter the terminal!

We are between you guys -- sailing on the 13th!!! Also surprising my kids - 8 and 11. -- at least I HOPE I am, my 11 yo is pretty sharp. This will be their 10th cruise and 6th on Disney -- but our first as GOLD!

Things I am most excited about:

Seeing Star Wars on board!!
Doing the 5k for the first time!!
Seeing the new Tangled!!
Very Merry Christmas decorations!!!

Wow, yes these are the things we are excited about too and........having 'cake of the day'!!!!

I've been on two Disney cruise and two other cruises.
But, December 9 on the Magic will be my husband's first cruise. Only four days, I really hope he likes it. Looking forward to exploring Key West, Nassau, the ship and Castaway Cay.

No one mentioned they were excited to gain "a pound a day" because they enjoyed too many "cake of the days" haha. I planned for everything but the weight gain and came home from our 15 day cruise almost 20 pounds heavier than the day I boarded!!! That was a total shocker as we both cruise and travel frequently and it had never happened before.

Good job we are planning to run the Castaway Cay 5k to help with the weight gain, and I suppose we will have the weeks after the cruise to work it off!

LOL! Honestly, I didn't know there was a "cake of the day" and I have spent 56 days on DCL! That may have something to do with the fact I don't eat gluten... Still, it sounds decadent and FANTASTIC!
