Just be sure to check the date when you get your AP. The computers default to the date of purchase of the Hopper/MYW pass. The CM has to actively override the default to set the date to the date of upgrade.
We found this out the hard way when DH upgraded a Hopper one year to an AP. We went back to WDW a second time, not having checked the date on the AP & found to our dismay the date was wrong. We went to Guest Relations & wound up having to get a supervisor involved & were luckily able to straighten it out. The supervisor explained the whole default thing to us, so now I tell people to double-check their dates if they upgrade.
