I'm a chicken fajitas girl!!:thumbsup2 Love them wrapped in a warm tortilla, with fresh guacamole, onions, peppers shredded cheese and sour cream!! Yummy!! :cloud9: Unfortunately I will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo at DDs dance studio, she dances for 3 hours today!!:laughing:
I do have a drink machine and plenty of margarita mix on hand though..........;):rotfl:

Let's see your drink machine.

I will be making soft tacos, and I think mochi for Boy's Day.

It's not a fancy one by any means;).It's a smoothie maker that crushes ice but it also makes pretty good pina colada's and margaritas!!:thumbsup2 My DH wants to buy the Margaritaville drink maker!! I think it's a little to expensive personally!! :eek:We aren't frequent drinkers (other than wine and an occasional Shandy', beer with ginger ale or lemonade) But one of those frozen drinks on a hot summers day by the pool.............:drinking1.;):beach: Still want a pic? I will have to wait until DH comes home!! I can't do much more than type on the computer!!:confused3:rotfl::surfweb:

I am sorry that I have just fallen off the radar. I hope that I am still welcome here. :flower3: Just thought i would come by and say hello... Can't wait to sit and talk with you all again. :yay: :goodvibes

Looks like I have missed some fun exchanges...oh well, I am sure there is some great ones just around the corner popcorn::

:love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love::love:
LOVE YOU ALL MY EXCHANGE FRIENDS HERE ON THE DIS!!

Welcome back!:wave2:
I'm new to the exchange board (joined just a couple of months ago) so we haven't met yet,but I have no doubt we will soon get to know each other!!;):thumbsup2:cool1: You are so right these exchanges are a whole lot of fun!!:woohoo:

Sorry if I haven't been on the board that much this past week. Have had a series of crisis's to deal with culuminating in Holly the wonder greyhound having surgery for a broken right back Femur (although how she managed to do this over the weekend we have no clue) this morning. To top that off, she also managed to partailly tear her ACL ligament on that same leg over Easter. So she is probably out of surgery by now, and has to stay off her feet for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Trying to get a greyhound not to run is going to be a challenge, but she's such a couch potato I don't think it will be a problem. So I'm hoping that she is going to have a long and slow recovery.
Will not be celebrating Cinco De Mayo, am more gearing up to getting her home this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!!

Trish

Sorry to hear about your dog Trish. Have been on the waiting end too,not a fun place to be!! We almost lost our Black Lab 3 years ago! She had such a severe uterine infection that she almost lost her life!! She had to under go a 5 hour operation to save her. She pulled through and when the vet came to talk to us he said he took n 11 lb uterus out of her!! It was so infected she was lucky to still be here!! We were so relieved he saved her life!! Now we have a little puppy and we are always worried about her. She's not a good eater!! I swear they are just like having another child! But I would be lost without them! Hope she is as good as new real soon!!

I'm not doing anything to celebrate. Honestly, I forgot what day it was. I love guacamole the most but an enchilada plate with rice and beans is good too!

Hi EVERYONE!!! Guess who is back????
Welcome back!!

Hope your dog is well in no time, Trish!

Thanks for all your support. Called the vet, and is going in for surgery now. Expected to take 2 to 3 hrs pending no complications. It was a clean break, and they don't expect any problems with it. Will probably pick her up tomorrow afternoon, as I doubt she will be out of recovery in time for us to take her home tonight. Dozer our male greyhound, is very upset (which is an understatement), and have had to take him with me when I took my older son to kindergarten this afternoon, otherwise he would have destroyed the place looking for her. Still hasn't forgiven hubby for taking her to the vet and leaving her there. Holly the mutt yesterday when DH took her back to the vet made a flying leap out of the truck when he got there:scared1::scared1:. DH had to make a quick lunge to catch her in time. She's a feisty dog, and has a Diva complex, so won't give up the fight to get better. Just hope that the ACL ligament is not torn completely through, which would require another surgery (and another major vet bill, OUCH!), in the next 6 weeks. Have a great day everyone!

Welcome back Eva, hope to catch up properly soon.

Trish, sorry to hear about Holly, hope everything goes well and keep us posted. :thumbsup2

As for Mexcican, my favourite is quesadillas, yummy! No celebrations over here.

I'm sorry to report that our hound Holly did not survive her surgery yesterday. Vet thinks that a blood clot migrated to her heart during the surgery and killed her. Safe to say that her death was sudden, and we were all expecting her to survive and thrive after it. I have contacted our local Greyhound Pets Inc rep to make arrangements for us to adopt another hound as a buddy for our large male greyhound DOZER. He does not do well as a single dog, and will panic if any of us leave the house. While we would have rather waited a couple of months before adopting, we have very little choice in the matter, as we have to put Dozer's and the needs of the kids first. So our local rep is fast tracking the adoption application, and will be heading down to Woodinville, WA to adopt another hound on Saturday. Our goals for today, is to have the local GPI rep sign off on the paperwork for the new hound, and take Michael to Kindergarten. Will be taking DOZER everywhere with me via crate until we adopt another hound. Sorry for the bad news.

Trish

Oh no Trish.:sad2: That is not what I was wanting nor expecting to hear. I really can't imagine how you all feel and poor Dozer must be awful confused. :sad1: The adoption sounds like it will be the best thing under the circumstances. So sorry for you all. :grouphug:

LOVE YOU ALL MY EXCHANGE FRIENDS HERE ON THE DIS!!

 We do have the Christmas in July Present Exchange coming up. I will start sign ups at the ending of this month of starting of next month. Then everyone can open their presents on July 1st, and post about it. :santa:

Trish, so sorry to hear of the loss of your furbaby......it is always so hard and especially since this was unexpected.
Good luck with finding a new friend for Dozer. I am sure he is unhappy right now.

Eva.....good to see you back!

Today......cut a long over due haircut....and booked the next girlfriends' vacation! We are so excited!!
Off to add a new counter now :yay:

So sorry to hear about Holly, Trish. :sad1: Keeping all of you, especially Dozer in my thoughts!!

Thanks for all your support during this difficult time. Dozer spent the night wandering the house looking for her. He panics if either Dave or myself leave the house. I tried to go take Michael to school and leave him home, but as soon as I put on my jacket, he went into total panic mode, and I had to take him with me in the crate. While he hates being in a crate, he hates being home alone a great deal more, but you try to manouver a 90lb dog into a crate that doesn't want to go, so I've been having fun with that. Will have to take him with me in the van when I go out for the remainder of the week until we can find a buddy for him. GPI has lot's of hounds to choose from, so I'm sure that we will find another hound that is a good match for us. We are taking both kids, and Dozer to find his new buddy on Saturday. So Nancy, I'm heading in your general direction on Saturday. Will let everyone know when we have found a new hound to give a forever home to.

Trish

:grouphug: Trish.

The way Dozer acts when you leave sounds like the way my Kirby acts in a thunderstorm. He paces the floors, panting and drooling. He has even jumped on the furniture and bed a time or too looking for relief.
