I think the media is making it seem worse then what it really is.

Seems I have a number of questions to answer. I've been bothered with vertigo for the last week and really haven't felt like doing much.

Nursery rhymes/songs? Hmmmm, I had a nursery rhyme book that I used to read over and over. I really enjoyed music in elementary school but the songs we sang escapes me at the moment. My favorite jump rope song was Cinderella dressed in yellow.

Sign language? In the sixth grade, my class taught ourselves the alphabet. We were not allowed to talk at lunch and that's the way we got around it. ;)

Car rentals? We've rented three times. Once we rented a huge seven passenger cargo van for a trip to Colorado because our van wouldn't have made it. We rented a Ford Aerostar for a week while my van was being worked on. And we rented a Dodge Caravan to drive to Chicago at Christmas because we didn't trust my van. So, I guess you could say that we rent vans.

Alcoholic drink? When I drink, which is hardly ever, I like a Marguerita on the rocks. I don't like the way alcohol makes me feel. I wish I could find a wine that I like but haven't yet. Still searching though.

Jewelry? I only wear my wedding ring and that is not all the time. I was never much of a jewelry person but I did used to always have a pin on my blouse when I worked outside the home.

Ice cream sundae topping? Chocolate and peanuts when I occasionally indulge.

Swine flu? I think that they are making much more of it than they should. I'm still going about my business, just washing my hands when I can.

Did I miss any?

Susan hope you feel better soon. :wizard:

No you didn't miss any.

Nobody I know is too worried about swine flu. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. One problem though is that I suffer from a chronic cough and if things get bad I worry people give me dirty looks - yikes!

Yesterday was my birthday/anniversary
Laughing with my sister
Watching the squirrels, rabbit and deers

Watching my grand nephew play soccer with the Mickey soccerball I got him in WDW!!:mickeyjum

Watching my puppy run to the door do her little ballet dance and then sit and wait patiently to go out to transact her business!!:dogdance::rotfl:

Reconnecting with friends from the past on the Dis and on Facebook:grouphug:

Happy belated anniversary and birthday Heidi - hope you had a great day!

Dzee - your puppy sounds cute. What kind/ how old is it?

My 3 things are -
watching Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging with my DD's, it's hilarious! :lmao:
meeting our first Guide Dog puppy again (who has almost finished the first stage of his training) We got to watch him work and play with him :lovestruc
putting the world to right over brunch with a friend ;)

Thanks for asking:
I have a 3.5lb Yorkie-Poo(Yorkshire Terrier and Poodle).:dogdance: and she is all black. She has the straight hair like her mum,not the curly coat like her dad! She is 11 months old and has seemed to have trained herself!!:rotfl: She just recently decided that she wants to go outside to do her business instead of doing it on the puppy pads!!!:confused3:laughing: We are still baffled what brought this about!!??!!:confused3
We went to WDW for a week and came back and that's what she was doing!! She is the cutest though!! Do I sound prejudiced? :rolleyes1
She walks on her hind legs and dances when she wants something especially your attention!:laughing:We also have a Black Labrador Retriever who is 14 next month. We know she is getting old but she doesn't know it!! She still thinks she is a puppy!! She's just a little slow on the uptake!! The two get along fine infact they really don't care that much about each other at ALL!! Who 'd thought two females could get along so well!!
What would we do without our pets!! :confused3;) I say certainly smile a little less....;)

Can I ask you a question? My Grandmother used to go to the UK to visit her sister every year and she used to bring me back bars of chocolate called Frye's(spelling?) I was just wondering if it is still made there? Thanks in advance!!:flower3:

Dzee - your pup sounds adorable! She is obviously a clever girl. Your black lab sounds lovely too, I have a soft spot for labs. We have a yellow lab called Ryan who is a Guide Dog puppy. He turned one last month and we are waiting on the dreaded call from the training centre to say when he has to go back. :sad1:

Fry's still make chocolate bars and they are just as tasty as ever. Do these look familiar?

OH MY GOSH!!! They look so very familiar!! :woohoo: But I haven't seen those for along time!! :sad2: Wow FLASH BACK!!! Soooo glad they still make it!! :yay: I may taste oneof those again someday........:thumbsup2
You have a pup named Ryan and I have a son of the same name!!!:rotfl2: But unlike you:sad2: I get to keep mine!;):thumbsup2
That must be sooo hard to do,to give up a dog that has become part of your family!! :sad1: But you know it's for a good cause and that must make it a little easier to part with him!!:confused3 I have to say it's a very special thing you are doing, and I give you a lot of credit.:hug:I don't know if I could do it!!

What was three things that happened the past week that had put a smile on your face?
Watching a video of pictures of Carol at Senior Night at church last night.

Hearing that my friend came through her surgery okay.

Returning one of my daughter's smiles.
