I now have less then two weeks till my son's birthday, so I am stressing about that. So today's QOTD is-

What one event or situation, has been stressing you out lately?

I've been stressed out terribly the last week because my 22y.o daughter told me she is breaking up with her boyfriend of 2 years. (Met in college and now live together.) She was calling me nightly asking for advice. What do I tell her? I can't make that decision for her, even if I wanted to. Anyhow, now she is moving out and I am going up there to help her move this weekend.

Added stresses: my son not wanting to go and help his sister -- wants to stay with Dad and go to his hockey games, the $$ help she needs when I am not rich by any stretch of the imagination, and the 4 hour drive to get there.

Thanks for letting me vent. I have not been sleeping well lately.

Hi Timmy good to see you posting again. Stop by whenever you can.

Not sure I can answer this, we don't eat out and when we do its KFC, chinese, or pizza.

If you were to work at a restaurant to develop new products to be put onto their menu, which restaurant would you want to work for?

Someplace that does a lot of desserts. I love cooking and doing desserts.
Maybe an upscale fancy place. Hmm....maybe the Space Needle restaurant (wouldn't want the commute though ;) )

I think I'd like to work at Cracker Barrel. I do comfort foods well and it's such a huge chain. It'd be fun!

I can sympathize with you! My son broke up with his girlfriend of almost two years a month into his first year of college. The stressful part was his getting used to college life and having to maintain a long distance relationship with his girlfriend that was at another college three hours away. Once they broke up, life became better for the most part for him.

As for the question of the day, I'm not real fond of cooking though I do have my favorites that I don't mind cooking. I'd rather be the taste tester for all of your creations!! :rotfl:

With all the news about the wrestler who passed away and his situation....here is today's QOTD-

If there was one celebrity out that passed away, which celebrity would you really mourn for?

I am still in shock they are gone. :(

John Ritter & Steve Irwin

I don't think I would mourn any one celebrity. It's not like I really know any of them.

But I did get really sad watching Bindi the Jungle Girl with the clips of Steve Irwin.

I don't think I'd really mourn for any of them since I don't know them IRL, but I was quite sad when John Ritter died.

Anytime a favorite star passes away we feel it because they have been coming into our lives -- into our homes via the tv for so long that we feel like we knew them.

I don't know about mourning but when Steve Irwin died it cut me to the quick. He was so full of life! I was very, very sad also when John Ritter died. I can't think of anyone off hand that's alive, there are a number of actors/actresses that would make me very sad if something would happen to them.

I was shaken up when Steve Irwin died. Especially the way he died, he was always so careful and good around animals. I thought for sure it would be a helicopter or auto crash that killed him.

There really isn't anyone out there that I would "mourn". There are a few that I would really miss seeing though.

I remember when Elvis died..I was about 5 I think. My mom was a major Elvis fan. She was so upset. It took her a while to get over it..actually I'm not sure she ever really got over it!

 which exchange did you miss out on?

I also don't know any of them IRL, but the surprise one for me was the death of Anna Nicole Smith. We were on the plane from Las Vegas to Honolulu when it all happened. The next morning, my sister mentioned about it to me, and I was shocked.

I will be glad to remind you about the Tink one ::yes::
And I know one of the ones you missed was the regional cookbook. I will try to remember :rotfl: to remind you next year.
