How is everyone doing today?
We had a busy day and a stressful one.
Anyone up for a chat?

Sorry to hear you had a stressful day! I hope it's getting better. We're here if you need to vent!

We didn't get the snow we were supposed to. Me:  DSs::sad1:

Thanks, Bobbi--my sis has a dr appt tomorrow. I'm nervously waiting to hear what they say. She's only 45, so it's been tough.

On the good news side, we're on our way to buying DVC! (Alissa, I gave them your name as a referral. :) )

We still have a frozen layer of snow/ice on the entire lawn...no chance of outside work. Patsy, is there a chance you can get a massage? We like to go to a town in West Virginia, Berkeley Springs for massages. We try to get there on one of our car trips east, with a night stop there. It's about 6 hours from here, not exactly convenient, but it's a perfect way to break up our 11 hour drive to Cape May.

So for us, it's only a once a year pleasure, but we do enjoy it.

Bobbi

Thank you Lynne  and the rest of you.

I wish that I could go and get a massage. That would be back into town if I can find anywhere and with the two kids it is hard. I think I am starting to get a cold as well which doesn't help :(.

Hi Patsy, sorry you are having a stressful day. It was raining here all day so didn't get out of the house...I'm not a winter person at all and the rain needs to go away and come back.....well next winter? ;) When it does dry up I've got some yard work to do... and my favorite part... planting some color in the garden. I also have a crazy habit of making .......all over my post.....love those .......

It's just a moment...this time will pass
JC

Janet, what are you thinking of planting in your garden?

Mini daisies, pansies, snapdragons...I'm still thinking of other plants....I hope to go to our garden center this weekend and look around...I really want color and they have to be heat tolerant...we get days over 100 and for long periods of time...so sturdy is a must.

Those all sound nice.
I wish we could plant pansies here like I see on t.v. or in magazines. I tried planting them before and they grew, but once I transplated them to the ground, they died and the plants didn't grow big :(.

It's a new day here, and I hope everyone has a good one. I'm thrilled because it's a Tuesday and there's not any ice or snow in the forecast. I teach Tuesday afternoons and evenings, and it's been a tough winter quarter, 2 Tuesdays have been cancelled due to weather.

Have a good day everyone! :goodvibes
Bobbi

PS. Snapdragons are my favorite annual! What's yours?

I don't have any annuals planted, but we always plant impatients along our front walk in the spring. They end up huge and brighten up the yard.

I always say I'm going to plant tulips, and then miss the time to do it! :rotfl:

Hope your day is better today, Patsy.

I LOVE tulips. We live in a major tulip bulb producing area.
April brings our annual visit to the fields. Gorgeous!!
I have over 300 bulbs planted here also. They are starting to come up :yay:

I have someone coming today to get my new kitchen countertops ordered :woohoo: We went through the measuring and picking last fall and then decided to wait and see if DH got his promotion or not (might have been moving if he didn't). He did....so it's a-go on them now!

I am jealous of the ones with flowers, we have all kinds of wild life here to eat anything I plant. O' well its nice seeing the wild life and they are around year round eventually the flowers die.

Also the ice and snow we got Valentines day is still around and probably will be until June. :( Did I mention that we got 5" more of snow this past Sunday and now they are calling for a winter mix, or thunderstorms that could bring power outages. :headache:

Hi everyone.
We are not able to grow snap dragons or tulips here because of our weather, but my newest thing is dahllias. One out of two bulbs grew, so we will see what color flower that was.

Meriweather the tulips sound beautiful. I always want to plant bulbs..I always forget.
Some of the plants I would like to get for this year are sweet williams, strawflowers, johnny jump-ups violas, cupids darts, sweet peas, maybe some carnations.

Heidi, I have never lived in your kind of weather....I don't think I would do well....I don't even like it when it rains. :sad2: Maybe the snow would be fun for awhile, my DH is originally from Ohio and at times he misses the snow.

Hey ya'll, it's sunny and 75 here.:sunny:

I'm looking forward to our Morning Glories on the fence. I've got Pansies on the porch in pots right now. They almost didn't make it through the "Winter Blast". I didn't think that they would do well in the shade but they are. But they do get a lot of indirect sunlight.

I have lived with this kind of weather pretty much all my life and I barely handle it. I have been sick off and on since December. :sad2:

Tell your DH I will gladly send him as much snow as he wants. ;)
