If you were given a choice, which would you pick?

*A brand new house with two bedrooms, a full bathroom, one car garage, and a small patio.

Or

*A 50 year old house with five bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a two car garage, and a very big grass lawn.


Both houses would not be decorated, so how would you decorate them?

I would pick the older house. My DH is very handy, so he could do any necessary repairs. I would decorate it Mission Style with some Art Deco thrown in.

The 50 year old house. John is a great handy man should anything need fixing.

I like Colonial style furnishing, so that is how I would decorate, with Disney thrown in for good measure.

Older home. DH and I are great at home repairs and love our space.

When our kids were little, the older home but now with one basically gone and the other getting there, the newer home. How would I decorate it? With whatever strikes my fancy. I'm an eclectic decorator.

We have just been having warm weather (some would complain hot, not me), with bouts of rain once in awhile.



I really don't have anything that I couldn't do without. I am either with John or Dawn and they both have a house key should I forget mine.

How scary Patsy. I hope the hurricane misses you completely. The weather here is as it always is from May to Oct. -- extreme heat and humidity. Feels like there is no air to breathe outside. And there is some disturbed weather they say will be a hurricane headed in this general direction too, but it is about 8 days away.

I was thinking about you this morning when I read about the earthquake! Hope you're all doing ok. I would be in a constant state of panic if I lived there or on the west coast!


I usually have tissues, credit card, and cell phone.

Right now we are having a nice and sunny day, but with not much wind...so I think it is the calm before the storm.

As for the houses, I don't know really. I guess I would say the older house since it has the extra space and we would sure need it. I would decorate in a pottery barnish look.

Well, we didn't see any affects of the hurricane yet, but the other side of the island is experiencing strong winds and rain. It is to hit that side at midnight tonight. We will see if it makes its way over here. The schools on this island is closed for another day.

But on the bright side of things, my baby boy is ONE year old today

Growing up I went back and forth between a Forest Ranger, Librarian, or Pschologist. Ended up a mom to two boys, so all those kinda fit now.
