I would use it when the kids were off school. I would travel to Venice, Paris, Rome, Cozumel and all the Disney parks around the world.

You're welcome . Thai food-yum. What are some of your favorites? I am trying to decide if I should pick up some pad thai today, or maybe make some for dinner.

My favorite is shrimp pad thai!
I always get fish cakes for an appetizer and you can't forget the Thai tea! My DH is crazy over the beef salad. He eats everything so hot, he sweats.

I like pretty much all Thai food though. They make the best coconut shrimp. Yum!

It's going to be a "Sleepless in Seattle" kind of New Year's for me! Got two babies, and a 3 year old to occupy! They will be asleep long before the ball drops, and I'll be lucky to see it myself!

This is what I had gotten from doing a search on bruschetta...there are other topping used on them as well.

Bruschetta is traditionally made from toasted or grilled Italian white bread. The bread is cut thinly. However, the bread shouldn't be so thin that it becomes soggy from the olive oil or toppings. Traditional toppings include olive oil, garlic, basil, tomatoes, salt and pepper. The garlic can either be chopped onto the bread or rubbed into the bread. The tomatoes are usually diced and mixed with the basil, salt and pepper before adding to the top of the bread.

I've only had it once and didn't care for it. But it may have been the topping.

So while I was shopping today, there was a family who was in the bakery department. The parents were talking, while their son who was about 10 was fussing, and poking at the bagels that were just in baskets, and not wrapped. One of my pet peeves are foods that are for sale that you do not wash before eatting, that are just out in the open that others are able to touch like the bagels-yuck! My other pet peeve is families who do not watch their kids in the store. I know that sometimes it is not totally possible, but don't just let them run around the store by themselves while you are so many isles down or on the other side of the store. Oh, and my other pet peeve which I know may upset some, but is people eatting things in the store without paying for it first. Or drinking a drink-seen that too many times with people either not paying for something, not paying the amount they are suppost to since the weight of the item changes since they consumed some of the food, and seeing empty or half eatten items on the store shelves. Wow, this sounds like a gripe instead of a QOTD . So today's QOTD is-

If you saw this boy who was poking on the bagels, someone eatting something in the store without paying for it first, someone eatting something that they did not pay for since you had seen them just take the item off of the shelf, eat some of the item, then put the container/bag...onto a shelf without paying for it.....what would you do?

Honestly, I'm not sure until I'm in that situation. I tend to be on the quiet side and don't tend to report things, so I'm not sure what I would do.

I would mention the bagels to the bakery person.
I don't mind people eating items (not ones that need weighing) in the store and then paying for them.
I have never seen anyone eat part of something and then put it back.

I don't like to see meats and other cold items placed on a random shelf someplace when someone changes their mind

I'm not sure what I would do. I don't buy baked items that are not wrapped. I rarely see people eat stuff that has to be weighed. Occasionally it's a mom feeding her children grapes.

I'm like Jean--I don't usually confront strangers. I'd probably mutter something under my breath, but that's it. I don't usually buy loose rolls or bagels, but when I do I try to get there right after they put them out. Around here, there isn't much you can pick yourself, so if someone was eating something, it was probably weighed already. Produce is the one exception, but most people don't eat it before they pay--they want to wash it.

I would tell the a bakery worker about the kid touching the bagle, but they probably wouldn't do anything about it.

Have never seen anyone eat/drink anything, but have come across the emptys on shelfs.

Are the use of cellular phones while driving legal or illegal in your state/country? For the island that I live on, the ban of texting, and using your phone while driving just became a law this year. But today, we had seen three people doing so .

Illegal, but they still do it.
I think there is a bill now ??? not sure, that will make it so that is enough to pull people over.

I think I heard something on the news a little while ago that we could only talk on a cell phone while driving, no texting. And it depends on which city you are in as to whether you can talk on a cell phone in a school zone.

no texting, but talking is still ok in my area, I really don't know how people can keep their mind on the road while on the phone, I get after my DH all the time he's always talking business on the phone while driving especially on long trips.

Around here, you can only use a phone if it isn't hand held--we've had the laws for a few years. They haven't made anti-texting laws yet, but they are talking about it. But you still see people talking on the phone. I don't know how they do it. My favorite thing was the time I saw a woman smoking & talking on her phone while driving. How the heck did she do that?
