Exchange MK tickets for HS

I bought tickets for MK for April - 1 day. I bought them thru disney so they are loaded to My Disney Acct.
We have decided to go to HS instead - on fast pass day can I just book fastpasses for HS or am I stuck?? I think HS is cheaper - can I get reimbursed the difference - but not sure that would even be worth the effort?

Sorry, but you can't book any other park's FP, if you only own an MK ticket.

"Officially," you cannot get a refund if you want to "downgrade" a ticket.
However, some guests have reported that, as a special case, they have been given
the amount of a refund on a Disney gift card.
It never hurts to "ask nicely." You never know.

If you want to try, in advance, to change the MK ticket to a ticket for another park,

Thanks - I will give that a try. The refund is not much anyway. Glad I asked I was thinking I could just go to HS on my FP day and select them. I am used to the days of 1 ticket got you in anywhere!
