I want to redeem my Air miles points (canadian program) for 2 tickets, but they only offer 2 days, park-to-park, but I only have one day to spend at the park and we are three person...

Do you think I could exchange those 2 tickets (2 days + park-to-park) at the gate for 3 one day park-to-park, do you think it's possible?

I know some people upgrade amex rewards ticket to annual pass, but since this is a "downgrade" it might not be the same?

Essentially:

#1 - Anyone successful changing their tickets at the gate?

#2 - Any problems exchanging points or reward ticket like airmiles or amex rewards?

Thought I just read this in another thread ....

Possible you could get more help if you tried the hotel forum of the UO

You're right I'll delete the other post, I feel I was hijacking an old thread for a slightly different question! Sorry!

You are okay as a single post thread will get more attention than be buried in the older one you asked in

I do bump up single post threads when they go unanswered on the second day

leave your question in the older thread
And keep this one here

I think you should just email guest services and ask if you can exchange tickets. I wouldn't bother telling them where they come from. I think they are happy to do exchanges when it is a positive cash flow for them. Not so such about the other way around.

Thank you ! I saw on another thread you were successful to exchange airmiles tickets for annual pass, so maybe there is hope! ;)

yes, email guest services and be sure to print a copy of their reply.
take that with you also when you do the exchange at guest services.

Yes, we had no issues upgrading our tickets. I'm just not sure how they would feel about downgrading them.

Just tried to exchange my 7-day air miles ticket and was given a 7-day ticket replacement. If I wanted to upgrade to a season pass it was $197+.

You got a great deal with 7 day park tickets!

You can use them now and save some for a future trip as they don't expire

So did they give you a 4 day ticket and a 3 day ticket? If so, take the 4 day to Guest Services again after you use it and see what they want for the Season Pass. It should be about $45 to upgrade to a Season's pass.

Sounds like they were just going to credit you the value of your 7 day ticket on an upgrade.

No it's a comp ticket that expires in 14 days. They value it (the original) as $99.

If you will be at the parks for 7 days, sounds good

Comp tickets can not be upgraded to passes

I asked and was told that the new 7-day pass was upgradable within the 14 days. The value of the original ticket was too low for me to upgrade to the seasons pass. I did try going to the other parks Guest Services and double check that the information I was given is correct.

Ya, the only way you could get around it was if they switched you to another type of ticket that was sold at the front gate. That would be what the computer would get the price information from.

I'm sorry I don't understand. Your original 7 days ticket was worth 99$?

My goal was to exchange my 2 x 2 days park-to-park for 3 x 1 day park-to-park for no or minimal charge :(

Yes, many years ago they sold a 7 day ticket for $99. They had Air Miles tickets that were also 7 days. Those tickets didn't even have a bar code.

Nowadays the Air Miles tickets are just the 2 day ones that are the same as the ones you'd purchase at the gate.

I bought most of my 7 day tickets when they went for $79

After that it cost me $89 then did buy two at the $99 price

I would use them for my sons that went with me

Still have 2 sets left

Even redeeming them in October, I will still save money on the exchange
