Ex-Disney CEO Eisner buys sports video maker
June 26 2006: 8:09 AM EDT

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- Michael Eisner, former chief executive of Walt Disney bought a maker of sports videos for infants and toddlers, The New York Times said in a deal that is expected to be announced on Monday.

Team Baby Entertainments makes DVDs that highlight college athletic teams while teaching children how to count and spell.

Eisner and Team Baby declined to disclose terms of the transaction.

Now he can churn out sequels to his heart's delight :-)

cheap sequels... they will use dummies instead of real people.. After all, you have to pay the actors... Uncle Mikey will drive this little company into the ground like he did to Disney during the last 10 years...

I find it funny that Eisner is now affiliated with something else with the word "team" in its name.

LOS ANGELES, June 26 (Reuters) - With the help of former Walt Disney Co. chief Michael Eisner, American babies may soon be learning all the lore of their parents' college alma maters before they even take their first little steps.

Eisner said on Monday his company has bought Team Baby Entertainment, a maker of educational sports videos for kids.

Each 30-minute video features one college's campus attractions and traditions, stadium, mascot, special school vocabulary and licensed team music and songs from the marching band -- while teaching the alphabet and numbers.

The titles include "Baby Irish" for University of Notre Dame fans, "Baby Longhorn" for University of Texas at Austin fans and "Baby Wolverine" for University of Michigan fans. Twenty such videos are offered at $19.95 apiece on Team Baby's Web site, teambabyentertainment.com.

The five-person Houston-based company is expected to announce additional deals and programming in coming weeks, said chief executive Greg Scheinman, who will keep his job as Eisner's The Tornate Co. takes over.

Maybe he could by the future Big Ten Channel for too much money and then run spin-offs of the videos?
