I was sitting here listening to my music and getting ready to go to WDW when I felt something on my foot, looked down, didn't SEE anything, a few seconds later, I felt something on my arm.... OK, so I get UP out of my chair to have a look and EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW a HUGE and I do mean HUGE SPIDER was weaving a WEB ON MY CHAIR!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I am inspecting and not seeing anything that LOOKS like a bite... are these things VISIBLE? I am leaving in the AM for WDW, the LAST thing I need is a Spider bite infection!

And again... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

I did manage to KILL it! However, I think it was planning to have me for a midnight snack or something....

Sorry no pics, panic attack, killed, burial, no time for a snap and camera is packed anyways...

I think you can see spider bites, from what I've heard(I've never been bitten, but a close friend has) he said it sortof looked like a mosquito bite but bigger and bloodier. not sure if he was right or not.

I just killed one in the bathroom.

I have always heard that it looks like a mosquito bite and will have 3 small holes in it.

Yikes! That is so scary! I would have flipped out. I have been known to take the vacum to them in the wee morning hours. ...sometimes they move to fast for me though.

Flipping out? OH YEAH I WAS!!! Ok, so eyes see tissue box, brain says NOT BIG ENOUGH! Hearing that crunch EW! So I grabbed a REALLY think cushion thingy that was used for packing material or something and smashed it and took it to the trash OUTSIDE! Just in case it's friends want to come gather the remains, they are doing THAT outside my house!

I have been bitten several times. In my experience the bites burn/tingle and get a red circle around the area and if the spider is big enough you can see a tiny puncture(s). I was even startled awake one time by a bite on my foot, it was immediately warm and red all around the bite.

I think you would feel a spider bite. In the summer, since our bed is under a window, I sometimes wake up with a spider bite. They hurt!

We'll be waiting for that trip report when you get back.....and the weather will hold out just for you, I'm sure!

I looked down and saw a HUGE daddylonglegs booking over the flesh of my bared cleavage...DH still laughs at how badly I freaked.

Yet, when I still wake up with red, itchy welts, with or without a small white center, I blame them on spider bites. Got them more in California than here, but they in odder places here and MUCH more itchy. Should I be worrying about yet more bugs????
