That has to be one of the few ways they got the MK Christmas tree from beside the castle (were it was the first couple days of December) to it's traditional spot at the end of Mainstreet overnight!

We were so surprised when we got there the next day and saw it had moved over all the garland across the streets and everything! I suspect a large crane was involved in that one!

Very cool, Diane. Must have been pixie dust. ;)

Maybe it went via backstage though. One Saturday night some years back, the MK was a total zoo. They were escorting people who wanted to leave via backstage. We exited somewhere around the hub and went down the back of the East side of Main St. We were so relieved to exit the park with all three kids in tow that I didn't notice as much as I wish I had.

Did you have a good trip? What a magical time of the year to go!

We went that way one night, and I can't totally remember the circumstances. I think we came in for extra magic hours, and there was a real jam on Main Street (maybe a parade?) but they routed us all through the "backstage" area to the right of Main Street and I think it dumped us back out at the end of Main Street close to Tomorrowland. It was kind of neat, but DH and I just kept saying, "Walt would HATE this!!"

We were there last year, and one of the old timers on Mainstreet told us they had to take down the garland and put it back when they moved the tree. They had it by the Castle for the Christmas Parade. It looks so tiny when it's near the Castle.
