Did anyone else see this video? Looks like there is evidence that FP+ may be coming back. I also agree 100% with Fiasco’s comments in the video

Go to 13:00

I’ve also seen photos online of kiosks at Magic Kingdom as well.

I know many who liked the free fastpass at WDW disagree.. but we would be very happy to see maxpass - disneyland paid fastpass service- to find its way to WDW. There was still a free option.. but for $20 per person per day you had fastpass and no tiers. It also came with photo pass. It was always worth the cost to us.. and I would pay for it at WDW.

@katyringo We LOVED Maxpass at DL, and found it to be a really wise investment. It was easy peasy to use, and we felt like it made us able to ride everything we wanted to ride without crazy waits, all day long. We were able to secure far more than three fast passes with Maxpass; I would love for it to arrive at WDW too!

Need APs to come back first before I can get excited for Fastpass.

Technically speaking they are selling APs to people that had one during the pandemic. For example: we activated our Platinum APs in December 2019. We got them refunded mid-2020. And then in Feb 2021 we had the option to repurchase (at the price of a new 2019 pass rather than a renewal rate). We now have AP vouchers that we can activate the next time we visit. So I would think they’ll start selling publicly again soon.

My bet is that the kiosks will be for paid fast pass return times-payment based on the popularity of the ride. I noticed them outside Test Track and Peter Pan, both fairly popular rides that get longer waits. My guess is we get may one free each day and pay for the others based on popularity, or pay really big bucks for unlimited assigned times similar to how they do DAS.

I predict that it will come back just as it was before. I know I could be wrong but Disney had many years to determine how they would implement fastpass or fastpass+ and they could have changed it to a paid system at any time but did not. The cost of a Disney vacation is so high already. We’ll see

We had APs, but they got all messed up due to a credit card number change right around covid closures. So I don't even know if they will reactive because they essentially got cancelled due to the cardnumber on file not accurate but got no notification and forgot to update it.

You can secure far more than 3 fp's with fp+, too. FP+ works the exact same way as maxpass, after you use your initial 3 fp's.

We did maxpass when we were at DLR 4 years ago when it was $10/person/day. It was fine, but I didn't notice any benefit to it that I couldn't get for free with fp+.

We have zero problems getting same day fp's with fp+ after we've used our initial 3...even on Tier1 rides.

I give Disney enough of my money when I go as it is.

And for me, they need to stop increasing the number of people coming until they do some things to handle the crowds. The last thing WDW needs is a influx of new passholders without some way of controlling the lines. Those who really wanted to keep going to WDW renewed anyway.

I love your sentiment, but Disney has done nothing to alleviate the cost burden on the guests - everything has been going up in price even though they are offering less and less perks as time goes on. The club level fast pass system they were playing with prior to the pandemic is proof enough for me that we're going to see some kind of paid system. I'm hoping they give a bone to the general attendance of having some kind of FP option still, but it most likely won't be what it was. (and also i hope I'm wrong and it will go back to what it was, if you put in some effort it worked beautifully)

some of us who planned to purchase APs by upgrading existing tickets were blocked out of our trips due to CoVid. I for one had park tickets as part of a package for May 2020 but obviously never got the chance to go, let alone upgrade. So guests like us are anxiously awaiting the return of APs so we can join the club. It’s on Disney to amp up hiring CMs and more dining options etc. if they sell them we will come. People can buy park tickets so the crowds will be there either way.

we didn’t renew because 3 of our passes we couldn’t renew online at all even when active because they got so messed up but
At the time we didn’t deal with it because wasn’t going till masks gone .

I was an AP holder too and can tell you all about blocked trips due to Covid. The first one due to start the day they closed and the evening before we were scheduled to start driving- car already packed. I had a voucher that is still waiting to be activated along with 4k in gift cards to pay for a good portion of our resort. There were 3 more trips that got cancelled after that. I'm not activating it for this trip because I have no clue how often we'll return.

There are a lot of local AP holders who let their passes expire and would buy new if they could. They won't be buying day tickets. Just my opinion, but the crowds need to be handled before they add more people to the bucket.
